(strongly inspired by motherland fort salem) Voodoo/Ritual could be used to strike fear into a Enemy or use your own Voice to manipulate the fight. Could be ghost Voices f.e Banshees or Sirens ) As for Music Magic, many people believe Angel sing so, summoning a (scary) angel could let him screech/Sing while using a holy harp. Screaming in different pitches could modify the effect

With this you could make a little 'Glass Cannon' joke in the story XD maybe firing shards, spikes or even molten glass. I don't think it will be usable other than for a specific situation, though.

words cannot express how much this excites me ; i'm a storyteller as well, and i do focus a lot on magic systems ( magic by any other name is one of my favorite tropes ), and this concept hit me like a bolt of lightning - i feel like your approach yields such unique and intriguing results that i find myself inspired to dig even deeper into my creativity and come up with things i have never encountered in all my time reading fantasy stories 😅 i'm a fan at this point 😂

Amazing! One of the more imaginative magic systems I've heard in a while. Though I don't think I can really appreciate it myself. I never got into social media. Didn't get on Facebook until after high school and even then I didn't really use it. Only communicated with family and a few friends. And even then I only actively posted for the first few weeks, then didn't do anything with it for a decade until MatPat retired and I made 1 post. Getting that caught up in a movement or another person's life like that? I honestly can't understand that at all, and I don't think I can really appreciate the creativity in Black Sap because of it.

the magic systems you've introduced all have something to do with nature ; tree and bone magic are both organic, and you mentioned a fungal system, so i think there could be a viral magic system - depending on the scientific level of the world, viruses might be interpreted as spirits but that's fine, the mages just have to know that they are interacting with something microscopic that impacts the health of organisms, usually negatively ~ i find viruses very interesting because they are biologically somewhere between living and nonliving ( they don't have all the qualities of life, though they have many of them ), and that ambiguity makes them interesting to me * i think these viral mages might have the ability to produce vaccines and engage in biological warfare by telepathically forming pacts with viral "spirits" •

i did something similar but with human nails, where basically nails are very magic conductive and so they are the best place to inscribe runes(the spells) on them and depending on your linage, you could even be born with them already inscribed but when a rune is in inscribed it cannot be removed except if you pull out your nail and grow a new one and there aren't any common materials that are conductive enough, so you would have to be very rich or have a healer friend. On top of that it's not always good to be born with runes pre inscribed because they can be really bad but you could also hit jackpot that way. Ahhh also criminals tend to kidnap and kill people for their nails so they can sell them to artificers so they can make their magical tools. all this and a shit ton more for a book+video game that am making which idk if it will even come out in the next 5 years.

Bone magic to me seems more accessible than blood magic. By mean you don’t necessarily need a sacrifice to own power as you can dig the ground to find skeletons while blood magic is only accessed by killing. So my question is how do people in your fantasy world deal with the dead? They cant just bury them if they are going to be used later, do they crush the skeletons? Is there rules to prevent the easy access of bones ?
