Nice teaching method! I hope your student stays with you for years to come. I had a very condescending teacher, and never felt good leaving my airbrush lessons., many years ago. I nearly quit. So keep up the good work!
Youre nuts...does not look more real than a skin mount
12 minutes of my time wasted. Your camera is zoomed out way too far to get your point across on any other details you're talking about. The video is more frustrating than helpful
I wish people would stop calling them tear ducts They’re not it’s the pre orbital gland
I’ll never know ow how guys get lifetones paints to run good through a air brush
Where’s the lip
I can never ever get lifetones to run through a brush horrible paint
To "rug" a black bear would mean to drag it across a room... The title doesn't make sense but whatever.
I threw my VL away. Another one has come my way. I'll probably toss it in the trash too.
Very informative. Good video. Thank you
Good mount
Skin mounts at least are real, compared to stupid replicas.
Deer eyes are not almond shaped. 😳
These rules are dumb as shit a buck has what it has all these deductions for not being the same is just nonsense people are idiots
One note on the tips. SharpenAir makes a Paasche specific needle polisher & tip straightener. Yeah, it's $45, but can keep you from getting shutdown in the middle of a project until you get a new needle. And using it will also extend the life of your needles.
I would never let you paint my fish...terrible job im sorry im saying like i see it
I was excited to find the link in the description to watch the entire process but it's a bad link. Do you have a new link? I've been looking for a video like this so I can do my own black bear rug mount.
While pulling out the cartilage, if you will use a paper towel too grab the cartilage with while pulling it out, it works much better to getting it out.
YOU, sir, are an artist. I really appreciate your craftsmanship. All of my fishing buddies have trophies that are just...airbrushed, gaudy and have no dimension. Your techniques add layers of texture and color which is so OBVIOUS with fish flesh. But also so hard to do. Thank you!
when sewing with a machine, what type and size of thread and needle are you using please ?
This guy sucks balls!!!
All this time i tought taxidermy not using so much paint, coz i think taxidermy is about how to preserve form and color, paint only use to fix a small part to fix a damage color, a bit funny to know you got to paint the whole body of that fish, so whats the point of taxidermy?? it Just like painting a plastic "doll" (dummy).
All the details and colors fade during the preservation and drying process. This method of using reproduction heads is one method, but every form of taxidermy even with real heads are painted to make the mount as best as possible, and because fish fade.
Poor workmen ship
I like how they skip the neutralizing step yet write it on the board
Anyone know how much a replica northern pike mount costs?
Depending on where you get it, they range from 600-1200!
Which is the right psi for using this airbrush? Thanks
Awesome video but your camera guy sucks !!!
Excellent work!
surprised you did not paint out the hair slip on the face
Mantap pak.. Trimakasih ilmunya salam satu hobi pak..
Frank and Barbara, the compressor is probably hidden to make recording the video. Check out the Paasche D500SR. At 47 db, it is very quiet, like a low hum.
I was your hundredth like
I'd be pissed if my fish ended up looking like that!
Very well done. I’ve always thought pronghorn make some of the most beautiful mounts.
Killer
I've tried several double action airbrushes over the years, and never really liked them as much as my trusty Paasche H type single action.
Hi There, Hey why can’t I hear your compressor, is it a silent one, if so may please know what kind it is?
same question for me, I guess no one monitors this???
Great, -- When I used an airbrush first time, was in 1967 where we were a group of mainly painters who had a lazy winters job producing glasfiber fish that was painted foto realistic and put in glas locker boxes, for educational use. We specialised in our set of "danish saltwater fish" for schools.
Thanks. What is the benefit of doing an eye set this way over using a form with a preset eye? Do you ever use preset eye forms? Thanks for your help
What a shitty video. Shows small Components from across the room 🤦🏽♂️
First
Thanks Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!
U didn’t show the painting steps or how u u did the green on the top that would help
Thats because its just a preview video of the dvd that you buy
@@spicysocks4492 well I’m not buying a dvd
@@jasonnester9514 Then you wont be getting the information of what you need lol but hey was just letting you know
What holding tool is that, that you are using to hold the crown while you're staining?
That level does absolutely nothing set the pupils pointed tword the tear duct aimed slightly above so again what does that level do
Very calming music and voice and then...scary bear when looking at it from the front. I am currently working on my first bear hide. Great work and video
You didn't show a lot of your work. Regardless you're the only one I seen using foam forms. I have been looking and looking so I know what size form I need. Unfortunately its specific to individual rack and form number not really going to help me. Still glad I found your video. Thumbs up for that.
Do you have a video showing how you painterd the head
great tips dude thanks
What about the ears? Should they be skinned? Also,What about the front teeth?
