It was always a treat to watch Roy Dias's batting.. I still vividly recall Roy's partnership with Duleep Mendis at Asgiriya (guess with India) 39 years ago in Kandy. So far I haven't seen a SL batsmen with the kind of style that Roy had had.. Only today I could guess that his 'Top Hand Elbow' over the head approach brought about his unique style! High time SL cricket administration use RD's talent for the betterment of our cricket.

Can not understand the language but he was superb in my young age. Great player

Absolutely a gentleman cricketer, my hero in childhood, still he is my first choice. SL is very unfortunate to have such a corrupted cricket board chairman and officials those who never ever wanted to maintain the brand of cricket Legend Roy and his generation players endorsed with the class , commitment and sacrifices. You will be remembered for whole world until game of cricket is prevailed. My school bag and cricket bat was decorated with the Astra margarine sticker that was carried your photo graph in early and mid 80’s. Ancho pocket calandra with your photo was lasted with me among my important documents until I let the country as an adult. ❤❤❤❤
