I think youre not giving 4x4s or awd enough credit. Ive taken my stock frontier sv on trails that look just like this and worse and been fine. Nice truck though, love seeing more frontiers taken out on the trails

Do you happen to know what is the purpose for that disc brake looking flange behind the box? Some kind of balancing thing..?

I was dreading doing this job on my buddy's Frontier, given how the bearings are seated on the axle, and not in the housing like my old shitbox, thanks for the video. Feeling much better about doing the job. Everything else I've found jumps around HARD.

Cool to see another manual Frontier out there. I'm planning on upgrading from the old Nistec lift to a Titan swap before I go forward with a V8 swap into mine. I just grabbed a Titan rear axle and will be going back to snag the M205 from the front before I do the suspension.

Looking good. You'll get the tune - just takes some patience, but a lot of good informational guides and forums out there. I had a similar experience rebuilding mine but it was worth it when done. If you haven't already, check your timing before finalizing the AFR tune.

This is a fun trail. I did it in a 4Runner, but reverse from you. It was shortly after rain and man the water holes were big.

I bought a glass headlight housing and put LED elements in it. The result is a headlamp that looks completely stock, when off, extremely bright when on. Though, this prebuilt light is better. Mine does great. I did not know it existed.

Other than giant boulders i didn't see anything out there your little bull couldn't conquer.

I got to give it to you for putting spacers on the rear the crawfish look just ain't cool to me. Talking about your arms i can't speak from experience but I've heard heims will make noise. Something else that squeaks like crazy and you will sware it's suspension related is the hood stops I've had it and made a new best friend with the mail lady by showing her what that noise was. Next time you're riding pop your hood and see if any squeaks go away. Some of the noise up front is probably your shackles, but on your hitch you can cut a wood wedge and hammer it in between your hitch and reciever. Edit:I just heard that familiar squeak so i know that's part of it but im pretty sure most of the clanking up front is those shackles. Did you say you are getting any contact with the bucket?

My seals leak on both sides. I always thought there was a rubber seal the keeps the oil from leaking out. I also thought that you would need to drain the diff first.

My 2013 sv 4x4 frontier which is stock has the same squeak when I hit bumps .. it was driving me nuts looking for the issue but now that your truck sounds the same I’m just gonna leave it hahaha

Nice video brother, just purchased the ADO fox 2.0s, did you notice more travel, or less noise? I've heard the radflo's can get noisy.

Isn't this a know issue with the axle breather getting clogged and blowing out seals, or does that usually just make the pinion seal leak?

Can you share the part numbers? I actually have a 2012 Suzuki Equator RMZ-4 Crew Cab 4WD V6 with Rear Locking Differential. The truck is a re-badged Nissan Pro-4X but I'm confused on what part numbers to buy. The (12) bolt differential indicates its an M226 but not sure if there are other version. Thanks

Are you using the cheap qx80 axles from rockauto? Have you had any issues with them breaking yet?

I can almost guarantee the noise is coming from the Spc uppers. The new forged ones like you have, have terrible bushings. Try jacking the front end up and pulling back and forth on the uca. That might be ur issue brother.

Hi ya'll, just want to add. I have a T-swapped lift at 4.75" upper has 1.75 clear to the coil bucket (close), I still need to minor trim the side fender well for the 35's. On a stock truck running 33's will be close, 35' will hit the top fender well bending your fender. 37's don't hit any bumps. 35s are 345x70x16. For no hassle install I went with 33s taller/wider 285x75x16-on my truck they look small. I did have to bend the tip of the backside bottom front fender well. With Nutcase' permission you can see my truck at ????? youtube channel. Nut don't answer I won't link, helping to expand the community. I wish more people posted before my swap install struggles (my channel is mostly about torque specs, parts involved and installing problem solving).

sick little truck! love the manual! i have an 06 xterra and im thinking about replacing with with basically the exact truck you have! my Xterra is white too! its lifted on 33's but not tswapped. also auto .. but yeah since they dont make xterra's anymore im looking at that frontier more now. I like the 4.0
