What led bulbs did you use for pin illumination? Where do you get side rail CORK? What front rubber did you get from McMaster carr?

I was wondering if you have had any issues with the light organ on yours? Mine just stopped working altogether and I can’t figure out what caused it. No blown fuses or anything obvious. Any ideas? It would be great if you did a video on how to adjust the light organ like you offered in one of your videos.

Thanks, my issue is the score stopped registering, I've cleaned up all the mechanicals, secured the lamp sockets but this happened one day and I'm on the hunt for the problem. Too bad because I was nearing completion.

I have a few questions about the strike spare circuit on United bowlers, the units pulse down and score but don't pulse up for a strike or spare, the strike spare advance is pulsing but it's not making connection along the circuit somewhere....im stumped.

I would have tried to put led's on those buttons. But still great vid !

This last comment is for those embarking on the same journey as I with rebuilding this lamp... Be very, very detailed with balancing the internals and counterweighting everything, otherwise, the display (with the parade) will rub on the clear globe, and the internal display will not turn inside the globe; you will have an entire lamp that rotates. I had to take mine back apart, shift the ballast closer to the center (zip-tied it instead of using the previous holes), and then check for level using a small magnetic level as best I could. I also used a larger level after reinstalling the display over the internal motors, hung it up, and used $0.25 quarters taped to the top to level everything. It took a few times until I fully committed to absolute accuracy. Now the lamp works very well (the replacement motor buzzes). Thank you for the video. It gave me the confidence to tackle this project, which I enjoyed!

Hi, I am a retired Bally engineer. FYI, the blue headers were less expensive. We had an exclusive contract with Molex for headers and connectors that expired around 1980. That allowed our purchasing department to order less expensive alternative parts. You don't see the blue very often, probably used only on one or two runs of the boards, as faced with the loss of business our vendors often offered a better deal on official Molex and AMP connectors to retain the business.

Any tips on testing the sound? I bought a machine recently and have been testing it and the sound does not play at all when playing. I'm in the beginning stages of repairing and fixing it up and your videos are my sole guide. Thank you a ton!

Any idea what would cause the motor to buzz/hum? While dis-assembled, I can rotate the top hook them it will run silently, but always hums when plugged in unless I wiggle it. It's a brand new motor.

I think the reason this isn't working for me, is because I'd have to log out of my 4k first. When I tried this with my Micro, it says something about the user ID is a duplicate, and to put in my email to change the PW. I can play the 50 games that came with the Micro no problem, but I can't play the four games I bought. I'm going to leave it like this, because I don't want to fool around with logging out of the 4K.

yes light is on let it cool over nite wont go back to put new motor in again there is current to motor could it have something to do with the globes as all mounts were broke off so made longer ones top and bottom nothing is rubbing check for clearance top, bottom

Any idea how to get the turntable running faster? Mine is audibly running slow. (if it was just a little slow, then ehhhh, I could live with it. This is slow enough to where you can tell with every record). Let me know if you have any tips!! (mine is the F-120).
