Found this on a search for an extended version of the opening theme form the 1981 movie "Time Bandits". Not what I was looking for, but I'm glad I know this exists now. I was like 12 in the backwaters of Queens NYC when this club existed, so not really familiar with it, but it sounds cool.

Here in 2024, this was such a banger in the 90s...they use to play this in the dance bar of one of the biggest gay clubs in Kentucky if not the USA or the world...The CONNECTIONS complex in Louisville, KY 6 bars under one roof! Piano bar, strip bar, dance bar, drag bar, video bar, and the lounge bar. Took up nearly a full city block. Outdoor smoking area...balcony over looking the street. Some of the best DJs...had it's own regular drag performers, Including Hurricane Summers...well know drag comedian...did Tina Turner a lot...had the best legs on a man his age I ever saw....we even had guest drag performers, even PORK CHOP Parker from Rupauls show. GOOD TIMES...it closed in early 2010s...but DAMN what a great place.

Dear CZcamsrs, I will bring to your attention, the (long) comment I left on the Other Video of "HEY MANHATTAN JFK VERSION" by José Osvaldo Ortegoza so that John Tavenner can also benefit from it, I have a preference for his, this one for the Tone and the musical rendering, the work . Here is what it is: when I see a "Video clip" of PREFAB SPROUT, I can't help leaving one or more comments on it, I've done it often and I've done it for the other "Video clip" of John Tavenner that I know perfectly well. I also think that they should redesign it by replacing the fixed image with something more animated like slices of life in the urban Melting-Pot of Manhattan, day and night, on the Weekend with some examples of dynamic youth, artists, colorful characters, musicians or even all those who live and work there every day or who relax by taking the time to live, to enjoy the present moment. It would be good and very representative, very visual for such a BEAUTIFUL SONG. To be continued...I will now bring to all CZcamsrs the following comment: The Number of views (Ridiculous) does not correspond in any way to the quality of the composition in presence which is in my humble opinion of a music lover, one of the most beautiful songs of this brilliant group that is PREFAB SPROUT and it is undoubtedly one of the most successful and magnificent that we have composed on THE BIG APPLE and we can count them on the fingers of the hand, hence the rarity and the exceptional. When we compare to everything that Song and Music has produced in the past, in the 50s-60s-70s-80s and until the mid-90s (all styles combined), it's ZERO! What we have today is worth nothing, not even a Rabbit fart, many songs with texts , floods of words , do you want some? Here's ? (nothing easier) on a musical background without any genius, of a confusing simplicity, inappropriate Basses, waves of violins, a little piano and other instruments of Symphony Orchestra which spread all along and which do not bring anything (it is to raise the level of the song) and that is the TOP, in many cases, useless and flashy choreographies which are obviously there again to raise (or hide) the level real of the song. It's BLING-BLING to win the support of the public, especially the youngest. It's pathetic! I hate all this shabby unpacking which makes the heyday of MAJORS and Radio Channels. Lorsqu' on compare à tout ce que la Chanson et la Musique a produit dans le Passé ,dans les Années 50-60-70-80 et jusqu' au milieu des Années 90 (tous styles confondus) ,c' est NUL ! je suis donc le seul à m' en rendre compte ou les Gens sont tombés sur la tête et sont devenus sourds .Ce qu' on a aujourd' hui ,ça ne vaut rien ,même pas un pet de Lapin ,beaucoup de chansons à textes ,des flots de paroles ,en veux-tu ? En voilà ? (rien de plus facile) sur un fond musical sans aucun génie ,d' une simplicité confondante ,des Basses inaproppriés ,des flots de violons ,un peu de piano et d' autres instruments d' Orchestre Symphonique qui s' étalent tout du long et qui n' apportent rien (c' est pour relever le niveau de la chanson) et ça ,c' est le TOP , dans beaucoup de cas ,des chorégraphies inutiles et tapageuses qui sont bien évidemment là encore pour relever (ou masquer) le niveau réel de la chanson .C' est du BLING-BLING pour emporter l' Adhésion du public surtout les plus jeunes .C' est Pathétique ! Je déteste tout ce déballage minable qui font les beaux jours des MAJORS et des Chaînes de Radio. Moi ,je vous dis que la Qualité a foutu le Camp depuis un long moment et j' ignore si un jour ,on aura droit à nouveau à de la créativité ,à du Génie ,à de la Belle Chanson et Musique tout simplement...
