I am stunned! I had that first fabric and used it for part of it for my second son’s Christmas stocking which I made in 2001. So I see it every year. 🤗

The curse of going into a fabric store and seeing a fabric you like, but have no idea what to sew with it. Find a pattern printed in each year to sew with the fabric.

I made this recently without the peplum (as my first sewing project), and i agree, i found it very tight as a 12. In retrospect i would size up! I also added zip ties around the eyelets to stop it puckering. You did a great job and the black is particularly nice for spooky season.

Awesome tutorial. Teaching myself to sew and this is my first project with a quilted blanket I found at goodwill. 🤞🏾

I absolutely love this pattern. It was my first successful button up shirt for my sons. I have refined the way I make the collar and cuffs. It is an absolute favorite of mine to sew up. I also french seam this shirt so the inside finish is clean. I am so glad to see someone else having success with this pattern.

Why would you drink coffee if you need an antacid??

If the sleeves are a little short, maybe cuff them and make them 3/4 length. It keeps them out of the way when cooking, for example.
