TrollfesT was formed in 2003 by John Espen Sagstad (Mr.Seidel) and Jostein Austvik (Trollmannen).
TrollfesT members bring with them not only a wealth of experience and the skill to make use of instruments like accordion, bouzouki and the saxophone, but also a sense of diversity that allows the band to create a sound distinctly its own. Whilst "True Norwegian Balkan Metal" goes some way towards describing the TrollfesT sound, hinting as it does at the extreme end of metal, with a good pinch of local traditional folk - it doesn't really go the whole way towards capturing the sense of fun and sheer exuberance with which the band tackles everything it does, whether it involves playing in the studio or performing live.

Recorded during the Flamingo Overlord sessions, this is a song about Bob Venke, the Flamingo Overlord, pitting one enemy against another enemy only to destroy them both when they have exhausted each other. It came into the process quite late and the album was already full so it got recorded, but not included on the album. 💥🔥
Previously unreleased B-track from ”Flamingo Overlord”, now available on the 20 years anniversary album "20 Years in The Wrong Lane". Released as picture disc vinyl in 2023.

I met you guys and Æther Realm and you were all just so nice. My mother was jealous since she can't go to shows anymore due to a visual thing, and you were on her bucket list along with Týr. @@Slayerformayor1983 that conga line was really cool, and then the jump pit thing was just insane! I couldn't keep up but I tried. Third row on the right side, right up in there. I got an accidental dropkick during Týr in the second row because I wasn't paying attention to the crowd around me when someone was surfing. I felt bad because by the time I realized, they were pretty much up already. Trollfest was my favourite performance, though my favourite experience was meeting Æther Realm. Jake was just the sweetest teddy bear! Apparently my father's friend's boyfriend is really good friends with him
