Typewriter. How it works?
Finally, after a long pause, I will show you a new video. Today, an old typewriter was on the operating table of «Look inside». Silver Reed 500 was produced back in 1984 in Japan. At that time, it was a top-end gadget, and it did not cost little money. But over time, some things are depreciated. And I bought this thing at a flea market for just a couple hundred bucks. The internal parts are very high quality. Metal of different hardness is used in this part of this machine. What struck me the most was the fact that it is completely mechanical. The sound of a typewriter is an awesome flashback to 1980’s.

Funny thing, these clock started to become collector items as not many company produce them anymore due to cheap quartz movement. As far as i knew, only one company in China produce them nowadays. It's harder to find them nowadays because knowledgeable people collect them and ignorant people destroy and throw them away. Of course the price also rise significantly.
