If I could give you a million likes, I totally would. I had no idea about the plastic ring until I saw your video and managed to fix the issue. The annoying clicking sound was driving me crazy and it’s only a month old GE cooktop!

Commenting to say, pushing the plastic piece in works - however, I had to lift my range hood up to get to the piece. There are little plastic “feet” on it to clamp on to the metal. Once they were all the way back ont he clicking stopped. I had to actually grab the feet and pull it - pushing in from the front didn’t do anything. Hope it helps if you’re stuck!

I had this issue since I bought it for around 2 years, we tried taking it back but anyone that has tried to return an appliance to Home Depot understands that is almost impossible. I searched for videos that would say taking the whole thing apart would fix it so kinda just kept messing with knob (pushing in and twist to right) But I found this video AND IT WORKED LINE A CHARM!! Thank you!! 🙏

Ohhhhh for me it's the nebulizer..which is in a way a humidifier! I started using it yesterday and noticed the orange flame which freaked me out..now I see why..

Same here. Started using a humidifier in my bedroom a few days ago and now my flames are orange/yellow like the video 🤔

All my burners turned orange today...no humidfier...I'm guessing its the gas company providing inferior fuel.

WRONG! Our local gas supplier, rather than running the natural gas through a separator to remove the mineral that they used to burn at the top of one of those tall pipes, they kept it combined with the mineral and other waste gas components and allowed it all to flow to our homes! The result was gas that had far fewer BTU's per cubic yard, and thus allowed the gas company to GREATLY enhance their profits by selling us all inferior gas! Yeah, corporations do these kinds of things to screw the consumer!

this company makes many grits to take this wood floor all the way to satin ready to stain and or urethane coat. You can add an accessory shroud around your machine and install a cyclonic separator between the vacuum and your machine. virtually no dust will clog the vac filter. It works amazingly and saves so much time The separator only costs less than $60. You could have filled some of those gaps with filler before doing the stain and urethane. a smaller hand sander would have done the edges well. All circular scratches would have been eliminated had you used the other progressive grits for a perfect job.

This is the winner. Every other video said clean XYZ - this solved our issue instantly THANK YOU

Clean the holes of that gas stove so that that fuel can mix completely with oxygen and cause complete combustion. Due to less mixture of oxygen carbon burns with incomplete combustion

Same here, I have my essential oil diffusers running and freaked out with the orange flames. And we have the exact same stove as in the video.

Your video was exactly what i needed thank you for posting it. It stopped the clicking. After cleaning the whole stove that was brand new and that didn't work your video was 100% spot on.

Awesome video!!! I purchased this stove in 2020 and had to turn the gas off the stove because it wouldn't shut off. I contacted GE today, and they told me that it would cost $119.00 to get a technician to look at the stove "not" including parts and labor. I watched this video and followed the instructions. I didn't remove the cardboard paper behind the knobs but I was able to push the plastic rings in with a key and this resolved the gas and igniter issues within a few minutes. Thank you!!!!!!!

This is great as a temporary fix, if you don't mind having to constantly take off the knobs to reset the ring, but if you want a permanent fix, you would need to change the whole ignition harness.

I have the same stove with the same problem, same burner. Gotten bad enough that it clicks when off. I hope this is the fix for mine. Haven't had it for a year yet. Will try and post my results
