Alberto Ascari died exactly 65 years ago at Monza, the 26th of May 1955. I tought it would be a good day to share my remastered version of his last race, only 3 days before his fatal crash. And although Lancia withdrew from Formula 1 in 1955, it returned to competition in 1970, when the IMC series was established, in which it competed in 1970-1972. And it was in 1970 that the Lancia D50 finally had a successor, and it was a Fulvia coupe with a 1.6 engine. In 1973, the WRC series was established, and the rest is already known. Below I present Lancia's designs: 1954-1955: Lancia D50 1970-1974: Lancia Fulvia 1,6 Coupe HF 1974-1978: Lancia Stratos HF 1982-1985: Lancia 037 Rally 1985-1986: Lancia Delta S4 1987-1992: Lancia Delta HF

The fact that it took 70 years and triple the races in the calendar to do so tells everything about Ascari greatness. It is such a shame he didn't sign for Mercedes in 1954 and choose Lancia instead to continue driving for an Italian team.
