I have a problem that I can't figure out i recently upgraded to a new setup and after installing everything my LOC had a short and since then everything has acted wrong my brand new AAK 6k is making a high pitch whining noise it threw it into a thermal protection when the LOC blew and now I don't get bass out of it only the high pitch whining though the Sub i have checked the sub with the old 9 volt battery trick and it seems fine both coils read good with the DMM BUT what really has me stumped is my KICKER CXA 1800.1 won't give me any bass now either I have redone everything again today and same thing I posted a short of the noise can you please look at it and tell me if you have ever heard anything like that before I honestly don't know what to do

Did u see that video from bare vids hooking up 8 amplifiers of all different types and compared it to a relay and the relay pulled more current than those 8 amps? I just got some relays I wanna try, but seems it may be just pointless and just use it for a fan? Idk?

You r wrong. U can wire at .5 ohms and it will sound the same as 1 ohm as long as you set your gain in wich at .5 ohms it clamps the same output power as if it were to be wired at 1ohm. It only affects sound and reliability when you try to squeeze more watts out of an amplifiers rated power.

Okay maybe you'll see this, maybe not. I have a '23 Palisade and nobody makes HO alternators for it. Also, for some reason, nobody can rebuild it. So, in that instance, what are my options? Do I get several lithiums and charge them up all the time? I've got a Taramps Smart Bass 8K pushing 2 Solo X 15"s and 2 JL Audio VX1000/5i amps for mids and highs. The Taramps is running at 4 ohms until I can resolve the power issue.

How come you switched up amps i wanted to buy a powerus but sense your not running them anymore is making second guess wanted a 15k poweus or 10k ruthless amp any suggestions thank you

It's damping. Same as a shock absorber. Irregardless of the application... it's always damping. Dampening isn't really a word unless you're trying to make something wet. Dampening is the libary of words. The pahsketti, if you will. People that use dampening might also use the word irregardless.

What if I wire to .5 ohm to rise to 1.3-2 ohm and tune it to a 0db. I do that and it sounds clean and smooth. I also have the smd amm1 and lower it to where I only get max 5k watts out of a 9k.

What size wire did you run to your amps

I think this is my problem i have horrible noise coming from my door speakers and and i have my head unit power to the factory system i tried everything but swapping head unit and rcas but maybe I should just wire my hesd unit to the rear battery bank

Just wired and strapped my two skar audio rp4500. Played for 30 minutes and amps still cold. I confirmed with multimeter before it was 1.6 ohms before and after is .6. I did this because I didn’t need another amplifier I already have 4 working ones. Using the other two(rp3500) as backups. But wanted more power because I was clipping with one amp to get enough power.

I run 2 ohm, just got lithium my next amp will be a 10k so I can get 5600 at 2ohm..i only care about music and spl. Not doing competitions.
