As a left hander who now fights southpaw i had this problem i would always spar orthadox until i realized i was only using my lead hand and my right cross was really weak and uncoordinated now that Im southpaw it feels much more natural

From the other perspective: I`m 191cm, 135kg, 6 years of Lifting and stronger then 99% of people. I did boxing for 6 months. In the beginning i got my ass kicked by teens who are half my size. I watched many boxing techniques video and tried it in training, long guard like the klitschkos worked best, but you first have to utilize it. After 6 months i could easily fight against that smaller guys with years of experience. I siwtched to the bjj and no gi-bjj class within the martial arts school. First 2 weeks i got submitted easily (even with 40-50kg advantage), after 1 month i could beat the 2years + experience guys in 1 out of 10 grappling rounds. People with same or similar technique like me and beeing smaller couldnt submit me for once.

My favorite one is like a ring dagger, but with a short, blunted pyramid-like point, instead of a blade. Can I find a place where I can only go once a week? I tried Korean martial arts… and they kept pushing me to come more than once a week and I kept getting overwhelmed…. Eventually I just left. I would prefer once a week because I am not serious about fighting professionally or as an amateur… I just want to learn it for fitness and fun. I hate it when places push you to spend more money.

A classmate of mine in College who originally from Malaysia told me his uncle in Malaysia had a decoration Japanese Sword that he "illegally" sharpened it. His uncle used that sword and slashed at the back of a fleeing home intruder when he attempt to climb on the wall and flee after seeing his uncle waving that sword around.

Even with the one knuckle plastic version, it seems like in a court of law, you would be accused of using a weapon that you consciously chose to use? What about just wearing a heavy ring, like a thick gold wedding band or a class ring, etc.? That Adds uncomfortable damage to the target while usually not affecting any extra pain or discomfort to your fist or your finger that's wearing the ring?

The correct answer is a Brick. its compact, you can absolutely keep it in every room of the house. you can maintain plausible deniability when its NOT being used as a weapon (its just a rustic doorstop). it makes an excellent projectile and once discarded or your opponent gets between you and it, you can just grab one of your many other bricks placed in strategic locations. it also has an excellent intimidation factor as it registers as a source of danger but not necessarily as a weapon. many people have done the mental math of what they'd do against a man holding a knife or baseball bat, few people have considered what they'd do against an attacker wielding an arbitrary number of bricks. they can be dual wielded for bonus intimidation factor something you cant do with a batt or knife without looking like an idiot. with a brick you still look like an idiot, but the right kind of idiot. the kind of unhinged idiot who'd attack someone with multiple bricks.

Guy was wrong. I'm 100% about self defense, but this dude was wrong. He admitted on the stand he hit the lady first because she was in his face. The guy tripped in the water, the teens were NOT beating on him, he got barely hit once or twice AFTER he put his hands on the lady (she was a fat big mouth, but you cant hit her). He could have walked away easily, he was mad af at getting made fun of and he thought they took his friends' phone. He went nuts stabbing, it was totally unnecessary. And I'll say it, they were mostly White kids, not the ones who go around jumping people. He stabbed the one dude who was breaking it up, ffs! I WANTED to be on his side, but he was guilty as Hell.
