Inchegeelagh is in county Cork for anyone wondering.
I enjoyed this, nice version. This song has been recorded by some fine artists from Joe Lynch in 1954 for whom it was a hit for the Waltons label to Daniel O’Donnel to Doe Dolan and many more. It was written by my dad Dick Farrelly, best known for his evergreen song, The Isle of Innisfree.
Yes I often heard of your father' as my wife is From Galway' and they always spoke very highly of him in Headford'
@@oliverkanemusicWell that’s gas. My mother was from Headford. Dad loved the west. He wrote a great song called, Annaghdown, about that beautiful place on the lake only a few miles from there. Larry Cunningham had a hit with it.
