I bought a replica Todds bag in Turkey 16 years ago. It is so nicely made, with such good leather. I enjoy it every time I even see it, it makes me happy. I don't wear it as often anymore, but just seeing a piece that is so well made brings joy.

I bought a $500 bag 10 years ago. It still looks new and has held it's shape beautifully. If you get a quality piece and take care of it it'll last for years and years.

Mansur Gavriel? The inner plastic coating cracks and peels , and there’s some grey powder that’s in between the leather and the cracked coating. It feels like a health hazard and I’ll never buy it. The outside leather is ok but it will scruff . I’m surprised this is recommended despite how the inner coating disintegrates

Super informative content. I recently bought a full price Michael Kors for around 350 and felt stupid for it (I regret it) but if I’d gone for this bag (which I’ve envied for years) pretty sure I’d be even more upset lol.

I like how you put the last part of the video where you highlighted chasing the dream of luxury. accepting what you are and what you have, then it really doesn’t matter what you don’t have.

I think this is a great choice for a minimalist bag. Personally, the only reason i pay $$$$ for designer pieces is because of the DESIGN. So many bag designs you see in high street trickle down from the runway. Now, if Mansur Gavriel starts making items that aren't too basic and starts to come up with interesting silhouettes, then i think they can be a fantastic alternative to luxury brands.

I have two of these bags with matching wallet. With daily use for a year or two it held up perfectly. Now after 10 years it looks like new. Good purchase from the past. I wonder why it was better quality in the past?

It's a little scripted for me

I listed an authentic LV Pochette mono canvas bag on eBay. eBay took it down saying it wasn’t authentic. So I kept it but I knew I had purchased it at the store. When I took it to LV store where I bought it and told the SA we laughed. I’m so glad I didn’t sell it on eBay. I had purchased it in 2015 for $70 USD and now it costs over $1000 USD and I think it’s discontinued now. I question eBay’s authentication process. Although this happened about five years ago.

Really rich people never wear something with "elite" brand logos. They have personal tailors or buy special quality things that looks completely normal without any logos. LV, Gucci, D&G and other brands are for poor people that think they are rich.

For unlined bags, I just use zipped pouches for my items, it’s workable.

Thanks for explaining why these luxury labels are NOT worth it. Why should the consumer pay for their rent and brand prestige? I have no interest in fashion but the leather side of things is interesting.

There’s the most popular bag called st louis which is simply canvas inside and out and is not reversible, it’s simply a piece of plastic that seeing the hundreds of reviews on YT the canvas breaks easily and the cost of the bag is over $1500dls 😱 Unbelievable!!!

I like the brand’s concept of minimal designs using high quality leathers and solid craftsmanship. I’m not a fan of unlined leather bags as I consider a lining to be both functional and a good design element if chosen wisely, but that wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for me. I do hope the brand maintains high quality standards and provides excellent customer service. That would put the brand ahead of their competition.
