How do u set up the variometer or which one do u use to get feedback t9 controller.
I got a DMI Uniq kit as a child. I was much too young to build this glider. Later I did get a DMI Victory kit but still too young or inexperienced or impatient to build it. I later got a DMI Seaking kit which I in stead of electric motors installed a 3.5cc HB glow car engine into. The hull really wasn't made to take that power. Today I dream of getting a DMI Admiralen kit, which Billing Boats will produce within the next couple of years, and a nice modern electric drivetrain will be great.

Stunning! One question: have you reduced the original dihedral?
So cool! You make it look easy! The camping chair really says a lot about the flying confidence too, especially being used by a DLG pilot! Also congrats for 10.000 subscribers! I got one of your thermal explanation videos recommended a few weeks back and you were the first really breaking it down very simply for me. Currently getting into RC flying and DLGs myself. The onboard cam perspective was a nice unexpected added bonus! Where in Denmark are you flying? I cycled across your beautiful country last summer and have very fond memories of the nice wide landscape 🥰

Hi Sören, flying of the extra class xD like 3D this is :)) I´m looking for an DLG to learn, would you recommend this small Kavan Cumul or better the Strike? I have seen also a 1,5m of Art Hobby Momentum -DL which comes with ready wing in styro balsa, what would be easier for my as a totally newbie building something of balsa. But in the club I have friends who yould help. I have bought an older DLG named KIS (keep it simple) in very rough balsa an 1200mm weighting 290g. Heavy but maybe good for the first launches. I´ll be flying probably mainly flat and hoping for thermals. Thank you very much in advance and have a great day! Best wishes from Bavaria, Francisco
Hi, the Cumul is not easy to build, and the Arthobby gliders are pretty heavy for a small DLG, much better to buy a second hand gfk DLG, maybe a bit more expensive but much better glider 😀

Yes it is a Spirit, and I think if there is a motor on then it is a Spektra

On this glider,, no. It is 3,9 meter span and AUW 1500 gram so it is very forgiving, and when flying in lift it can almost not stall, but it will stall if flying out in the in sink area 🦅😀

the amount of thermals is crazy, I don't have the feeling we have that much passing by on our field.
Yes, and the funny thing is that the thermal finder page: rasp.skyltdirect.se/scandinavia/?conf=dk&wind=sw was saying that it was a bad thermal day 😄 and also the local fullsize glider club did not have thermals. The wind was coming from the sea only 1 km from here, and this should bad for the thermals, but as you can see there are plenty of small low thermals, but they disappears again in around 100 meters height. Very good conditions for F5j and DLG😀

Hvad bruger du som termik mode ?
Flaps går ca.5 mm ned og krængror det halve, og den er trimmet til langsom flyvning, ellers er resten ca. det samme som i cruise mode.
@@SpeedsterDEN ikke noget med at når du giver højderor går flaps lidt ned og omvendt ved dykror? 😃😃 - styrer du så primært med sideror
@@janfritzjakobsen278 Jeg har snapflaps, hvor flaps går 2 mm ned når jeg jeg giver højderor, som jeg kan afbryde hvis jeg vil. jeg styrer primært med krængror, og kordinerer HELE tiden med sideror. et krængror-siderors mix duer ikke på en termik svæver.

Do you always fly with a vario in your F5J-gliders?
@@LoetWakkerman I have vario in most of my gliders, but I can turn it off any time, for videos like this it is good for the the viewers to hear tha altitude gain :)
