It’s a culture thing. You don’t have to believe it and a lot of us don’t but when you come to a country like ours, we have a lot of kids that do, why do you have to screw it up for them? They will find out eventually because you eventually will tell them. Or if the find out like ur kid did, ur kid will just screw it up for other little kids who may still believe because those kids will tell them. It is a fun memory for many people in our country. You can be Indian in our country, but why can’t you be a little respectful of silly little things that meant a lot to us as kids. I like your comedy, but I don’t like what you did to your kid about Santa. Christmas is a big thing in this country. It’s a bit too commercial, the kids have a lot of imagination about what Christmas is really about which is love and being kind .That was just mean, plain mean, and you did it to your kid. Ultimately I’m out.

I believed Santa was real until like, 9yo. When our neighbour said: "I know who Santa is, it's my parents!" It just conforted me that, yup, Santa was real cause HER parents were definitely NOT coming to MY house to drop presents hahahahahahaha

I just looked up that Pooja means Prayer in Hindi. It must be hard that they seemingly don't care. Kids are so brutal, but they will come to appreciate their heritage. You just have to get to the other side of childhood.
