It is such a beautiful area. The million dollar highway was such a breathtaking drive with waterfalls almost everywhere. Thanks, Take care!

Yes, there was a lot of mining in the area. Copper, Iron and some other minerals. You can see the colors on the side of the mountains which may be why the river is that color too.

We drove through that campground, it is more level than where we were at Dakota Terrace. But busy nonetheless. Thanks guys.

Beautiful country. When I went there it literally took my breath away. Since it’s Colorado, I have to wonder about the name Stoner.

BTW. You may know it, but ive seen a report of a forest fire somewhere North of Cortez.

@@billcarolstravelproject it’s early for that. There were many fires in that area when I was last up there about five years ago. I couldn’t even go to Durango.

Wow, that is so cool. Scott and Jennifer are definitely some nice people and have done some good things with their little park, we really enjoyed meeting them. I haven’t checked out their website but will have to. We were supposed to stay at Cayton but decided to stay at Mavreesa longer because Cayton still had quite a bit of snow in it. They were conducting “controlled burns” in the area but I always get nervous when they say that. Thanks guys!!

There are some state parks near Chama with hook ups, El Vado and Heron Lake state parks. Then there is always RV parks in and around Chama.

@@triplejsadventures4896 we stayed at Rio Chama for 3 1/2 weeks it’s a hard drive from Lubbock my daughter won’t drive at all so if we go need to stop somewhere stay the night if you have any suggestions please let me know. Such a beautiful camp ground our dog loved it she watch the chipmunk made sure they were all secured at night.

Mine too. You are right, but the funny thing, is that I didn’t notice the bear in that part of the video until after editing it. 😂
