Excavation contractor owner operator from the state of Pennsylvania. Started this channel so you could experience some of the day to day operations of a small business owner. This is real stuff in real time. Not here online to make it what it wasn’t. Want to keep it real as it happened without all the extra marked up drama. If you like what you see please give us a thumbs up or subscribe to the channel. I grew up poor on a dairy farm. I never paid a dime for college. I am dumber than a box of rocks. I learned everything from the head God put on my shoulder.

Are those the Environmental One Units you are putting in?
What a big drill for small pipe lol
Nice, how much does it cost? I am told I need to have one completed on the property I am interested in.
@@seanogrady2629 how much does it cost? Oh I have no idea. I would need to see plans how many feet feet of pipe what are the existing conditions? Are we going down the street? Are we in the lawn so many unknowns to be able to answer your question thanks for watching.
@@mjcontractorsllc Oh ok, no worries. It is just land right now. I reached out to local water company, and they said in order to have water service at the property, I would need a main extension completed.
Who do you consult about sewage problems in townhomes with three other families
Hello and thanks for your comment. Will need more intel on your specific problem but would start with this. If you are owner of the property and are having sewer issues, I would reach out to a professional plumber in your area that has a sewer camera and they will be able to camera the line and get to the source of the problem. If your sewer problem is out in the street you most likely will have to get your township (code enforcement officer) involved. Again not sure what sewage problems mean to you via your question. A reputable company that owns a sewer camera should be able to figure out the source of your problem. I hope I helped you.
When you a stripping topsoil do you control the depth of your cut by using you bucket tilt or lifting the bucket or a mixture of both, I’m still learning and I’m having a hard time learning how to strip topsoil without the bucket nose diving and controlling grade.
I choose water puddle too
Thanks you comment just made it all worth while
Are those shielded cat 5 connector to satellite and the 3 ft patch cable?
They are RJ45 connectors and cat 5 or 6 would work. 3 foot patch cord allows you to set dishy outside the box and not have to unstrap the router. Very happy with the set up. Somebody was thinking and making some money off the design. Just pack dishy inside shut the lid and your done hope you enjoyed
You’re not going to get 500 watts out of the 12 volt cigarette outlet. Voltage x Amps = Watts. 12 volt outlet in a vehicle, say you have a 15 amp fuse, your getting 180 watts. You need 50 amp circuit and depending on length 12-10 gauge wire.
they dont have core charge for that compressor? Lucky you
Foly cat told me no core. I thought there would have been one. Guess it’ll get sent to China and melted down.
way to go man! i'm a loader man too. i've got the 963C good beast. Been excavating for 14 years so I know all about that good stuff.....
No spread footing required under the basement walls? wow.
Why does a residential home have to have retention pond? First time I have seen this in non commercial use. Here we have any commercial land over 1/2 acre have a storm water management plan and on a subdivision development. Seems like a huge expense for one residence.
I appreciate your comment. We had a good group of guys running with us.
No substitute for good leadership
Paint that ting big circle the next scoop he damn near rips it out of the ground wtf dude
BAM
Tommy D!!!!
Thank you sir for watching. We trying our best out here.
Tricky stripping topsoil with a track loader ....good job mate ..
He got it, nothings easy. Sometimes I give my guy a game plan and it helps.
Kinda looks like when they paved is when the pipe collapsed, nice job. Is this called a sleeve because I would call it more than a sleeve? Will that split cast iron as well??
Hello thanks for watching. This is not a sleeve for sure.this is a new 4 in hdpe sdr11 pipe pulled in through the existing pipe. Existing pipe is cut with the metal blade on the cone head. Existing pipe is then forced apart by the cone head which is pulled through and attached to cone is the new pipe. We can burst pipe from 4 to 8 inches in size. Any pipe size bigger is very possible however you would need a heavier hydraulic puller to handle the pull force through the ground. pipe materials that are not burst friendly are metal pipe and ductile iron. Cast iron however is burst able and we do burst it no problem. Our most common pipe burst jobs are 4 and 6 pipe. Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoyed.
Anybody remember when phone numbers had parentheses ( ) and dashes -?
How about the days you walk up to the phone booth and insert a quarter and then dial the number. Now we going back in time boys. Didn’t have all them radio waves traveling Mach 10 through space back then come on.
@@mjcontractorsllc All of your long distance was on them radio waves...
Yeah you be right. How things have changed some for the better and some for worse.
And the show goes on!
LOL Oh MY We miss you over here
that operator looking like he smoked a bit at lunch 😂
He is a strange bird that flys the wrong route that’s for sure. I can tell you though first hand there was no smoke rolling at lunch though. Thanks for watching.
great video whats the project
Hello, this was a barn that we demolished. I did not make video of the demo. I started videoing the aftermath for the job. We did all the site work for the farmer and rentionpond on site. Barn build was subbed out to pole barn company. There is several videos of this project up for viewing. Thanks for watching. MJ.
I’m not too far up rt 73 and run a 953C as well. Great machine.
The lids we get are precast with the frame in them. Most likely more expensive but it saves a lot of time. Nice work 👍
Agree totally with you. 8 in m top frame and cover poured into the concrete. However we needed low pro file on this application thus we went with low pro 3 in frame and had to mud it in thanks for watching
nice vid
Did you make that compaction wheel?
We did, I should probably put a patent on that thing, use it all time. lol Used to use hydraulic boom tamper but you always have to connect the hydraulic lines. As you can see I am always switching buckets depending on what I am doing. There are a few compaction wheels on line but they never got my attention, we also made a bracket so the E85 and cat 312 can run it on the boom. Thanks for watching.
@@mjcontractorsllc wow thats soo cool
Nice work 👍
Do you have to be a licensed plumber in PA?
Yes licensed plumber Sewer is air tested and inspected from code enforcement officer prior to backfill Thanks for watching
This make me have to poop.
Gravel is code and required on public sewer connections in Pennsylvania. Stone placement is a good base for sewer line to sit on. Without stone placement the sewer line would belly out and sag under the wait of the dirt backfill. Stone creates the firm base for the pipe to sit on. Also yes installing stone and raking it with slope, then installing pipe on that bed of stone, you now have that gentle sloped consistent grade. Thanks for watching
Is the gravel used to make it easier to adjust the slope of the pipe or does it have another purpose?
Hey you need a video of the horn in action
I would love to have a vac truck.
Matt, I remember all the years of shoveling our tails off, now our go to shovel is the vac truck. It speeds the job up for sure. Thanks for the comment and i hope you enjoyed. Thanks MJ
This video sucks. Hey buddy we don’t read hand gestures that could mean anything. Take the time to edit properly and explain. 😒
Great Video, nice work
mhm
Another great vid - your work philosophy is a lot like mine as I always feel obligated to do the best for my customers as I possibly can there’s nothing more gratifying to me than when I know they are truly happy with the work but my wife ( chief bean counter and brains of the operation) quite often feels obligated to inform me that it is not a nonprofit organization for the benefit of others - have an awesome day an keep up the good fight
Love your comment
have ya thought about getting a hammer for the 312? or dont be into rock enough? great videos cant wait for more
Love this video!
I feel for ya - I can only dig rocky ground for so long then I gotta get away for a bit ( ride to convenient store for something to drink) and you sit in one spot for way too long- good vid !!
