Dragonhide Damascus quillon dagger from bearing steel balls
This video completely records the entire process of making the dagger. The steel plate forged from countless steel balls, I call it Dragon Skin Damascus. Under the reflection of sunlight, this dagger can reflect colorful colors. This is my favorite work and the most complicated dagger to make. Thank you for watching.
This dagger was designed by Neels Van Den Berg (ABS MS). You can find the drawings on their website.www.blackdragonforge.com

Thanks for watching The gasket was left over from a previous project. The gasket is made of spring steel and has a nickel-plated surface, so it has a special pattern. The nail material is high carbon steel. #knifemaking #damascus
Making a Damascus Chef Knife from a pile of nails

This knife was made for my wife who has a small hand so the handle is slim. This knife is lightweight and suitable for handling vegetables. I love the process of turning fantasy into reality and the sense of accomplishment that comes with seeing the results. About the material: The nails are high carbon steel nails and before forging, I did a heat treatment test. Steel powder contains large par...
Forging a Damascus Katana from 1000 paperclips
zhlédnutí 2,4MPřed 10 měsíci
I turned about 1,000 nickel-plated paper clips into katana swords. This video fully documented the entire process. It took about 30 days to make. The biggest difficulty was keeping the steel core centered. The length of the katana added to the challenge. The rope part of the handle is the result of the sixth. It looks easy, but it actually requires a lot of proficiency to be satisfying. Regardl...

Forging Canister Damascus Bearing Ball Pattern Welded Steel Hammer

#Canister Damascus This video completely records the whole process, the diameter of the steel ball is 6MM. Powders in film (steel powder, graphite, nickel powder) Process not shown (where the powder turned into steel is actually harder than the steel balls, and I added carburizing solvent to the container) I have a whole box of 6mm diameter steel balls. This is actually a destocking item. Const...
Forging Canister Damascus Grover washers Pattern Welded Steel Knife
zhlédnutí 1,1MPřed rokem
The blade is made of nickel-plated Grover washers, the blade hardness is less than 65HRC and greater than 60HRC. I carburized the blade, not shown in the video, and tempered at 250C, twice. The lock screw is made of a broken part. Has a similar pattern to the blade. My original design was an integral support with a wooden handle, unfortunately, the blade broke off. Broken by me the wrong way. I...

Was soo good I forgot it was paper clips!
Кузнечная сварка плохая, лезвие не отковал а выточил пилой.
Скучно, очередной ножик
Absolutly gorgeous work!
Is it damascus if only one type of metal is being used?
Use a hammer.
👍👍👍

Что бы гвозди закалить, их надо насытить углеродом!
Uma bela faca. Há tempos não vejo vídeos desse canal. O CZcams não está entregando.
Thats not forging, though beautiful
It's such a genius idea to bump it up on the ends to keep the length compressed! Beautiful work!
nice knife not practical but nice
The grain flow is random and so you can not call it a Damascus katana Veritasium did a video about it.
where is the dried chilli ?
Really cool!
Нахуя?
That is not how any of that should go. Awful.
Is this knife sold?
It's not a Damascus, you haven't folded it even a single time
He must now face Bob, in accounting, who made a longsword out of staples and a shield from file foders.
Is this Hans Kim?
Good lord that is a beautiful dagger. Love the pattern
👌👌👌👌👍🥰🥰🥰
Real men don't cut their knife's out they forged them.....
Sigue subiendo más videos como estos buen contenido 🤝🫂
Only forging going on here is to a flat piece of metal. Might as well just buy knife blanks then and stop pretending your forging
I mean, the title says ‘knife making’ not forging?
@@nevermore7285 true enough I suppose.
Bet you were a skater once.
I’d pay good money for this knife.
Beautiful ❤!
_"Mach 3 steak knife"_ ❤
Very Very nice
I want one like that.
Tank Tolman must be notified at once!! He’d love this
Not another cut and grinder boy !
Patterned Steel Not Damascus Why Lie ???
Kind of reminds me of the sr72 blackbird
My 3d printer made this in 30 minutes.
All the this hard work to cut watermelon?
Thats DEFINITELY a different pattern!!! RESPECT!!
5:08 is that kosher salt or Himalayan? Coarse or fine? 😂
super cool and super impressive. What do you do with your steel shavings? Also, how do you prevent rust in crevices?
idk about that handle but boy does that blade and guard look fantastic
Great video. I would love a little more information within each step in regards to the equipment and material you use to help create this beauty. Thanks for sharing
As a sword collector...I want one..very nice sword..looks great
It's so fast, didn't see anything 😮
What's that yellow liquid?
Usually ferric chloride (or other certain acid, some can use hot coffee liquid to darkening the metal), to etch the Damascus pattern so it will pop up. It "eats" certain type of metal.
Did not look like the initial forge weld worked out at all.. i doubt this blade had any integrity
Anyone else hear a little kitten mew in the background?
Will it “keeel”?
