You have found Lathander's Blood! Trust me, my first time it totally threw me off because I thought I was just looking for like a vial of blood, not a whole damn weapon! That weapon is going to do WONDERS for you as long as you have it equipped on you or a companion for Act 2!! Also man, I HAVE to point out one thing that's just driving me crazy, you have GOT to remember your Great Weapon Master bonus action extra hit! I count no less than 5 different times you could have swung your sword another time in a turn but instead you did an off-hand ranged shot. Make sure if you score a critical hit that you use your bonus action for that before doing an off-hand shot! If you're looking to maximize damage that is... See ya next time! P.S. If you want Ari to take advantage of that soul breaker greatsword, you can. If you wield that weapon while disguising yourself as a Gith, you will be eligible for the extra Psychic damage, if you do choose to keep using that sword for now.

If you still want to try the tadpoles but don't want Ari to take them, Astarion and Gale can both use them without having to be convinced by the player first. Astarion actually asks you for one on at least two occasions during the early game. Anyway, good video :)

Man, as a sorcerer main I can very much relate to the int 8 gang :D Blood of Lathander usually ends up with Shadowheart, it's just perfect for act 2!

blood of Lathander - too epic! something equally as epic happens when you don't follow the rules and just take the mace despite the warnings. you should try it out sometime when you get a chance lol!

Make sure to long rest outside the cresh in the Mountain pass. There's an important cut scene that only happens after completing the temple and you long rest at the outside mountain pass camp. I missed this on my first playthrough. It's not game breaking to miss, but may limit future gameplay options in a storyline.

Thinking of adding Bard class to Barbarian class makes me laugh, yet sounds so much fun! Why couldn't there be poets/singers among barbarians? Sounds like fun-beat music, maybe with drums or flute - lol. Really nice to know those buffs stay with you when you drop the mage from the party - I didn't know that. I appreciate your experiments. I've learned a bit. Also, that you need twice as much food for daily camp rests than for Explorer & Balanced. Don't think I'm ready for those advanced modes yet. I, too, enjoy the team chatter - learn a bit if can catch it. It took me weeks (& watching two playthroughs to suddenly have the ligth turn on on why La'zael & Shadowheart bickered so very much & didn't trust each other. i guess I'd slowly been putting it all together, but hadn't put it together until at the beginning of another stream - made me feel so slow in the uptake. I knew it all already, but had a paradigm shift rather suddenly & then just felt so blind. LOL at myself. an IQ of 140 doesn't necessarily make you sharp in all ways of thinking - LMAO. Keep up the good fun & exploration. Dark Urge seemed pretty quiet during today's run. I've never seen a durge run beyond about eipisode 6-8 or so- only one indirect encounter that only raised many more questions.

If you play another run, just for the fun of it, try taking the mace without inserting the artefact, there is some fun cinematics for it 😅

I think it could make sense roleplay wise for Ari to be a paladin. ''A promise made so deeply that it becomes divine in itself flows through a paladin, burning bright enough to inspire allies and smite foes.'' His promise to never let the dark urge take over again turned divine.

Remember... when you kill an enemy with Great Weapon Master, you get that extra bonus attack. Somewhat more useful than a dinky little offhand ranged. Just sayin' :)

Bowskii, you need to give The Blood Of Lathander to Shadowheart. Clerics are proficient in both divine magic and martial arts, making them capable of both healing and dealing with damage. Clerics are also proficient in a variety of weapons, including simple weapons, morningstars.

Hey man!!! I thought I've missed a lot of content. I went for fishing almost whole week with my cousins. I'm glad it was only one episode 😂. I think blood of lathander will be very good on Shadowheart.

I'm genuinely impressed that you were able to figure out the statue puzzle on your own (even if you were just pressing buttons by the end lol) because i have to look up the answers for it in every run 😂 Also yes, the gloves work with the holy lance helm :) not sure what ring you have on but i think they work with pretty much every source of radiant damage. (I usually make an open hand monk since they get an ability that lets them do extra radiant damage every time they attack, and it hits like an absolute truck lol) I'm very excited to see the next few episodes! Especially your reaction when you get into act 2 since it's jam packed with interesting lore

Yes, if you have 19 Armour Class opponents have to roll at least 19 to hit you. The problem is for attack rolls you also get a lot of bonuses such as your primary stat. So realistically of course they need to roll much less. You can check their bonuses and how much exactly they rolled in the combat log in the bottom right corner

I am enjoying these so much! Thank you! The game I ordered was the Deluxe Edition (mainly because it was all Larian was offering on their website for pc's & I really wanted the game - lol. I saw it on sale on Etsy for $130 & knew better than to pay that.) - I wonder if I'll get all that fancy clothing too? lol - fun! I love the banter among team members along the road. And, of course, now that I just got steam (for BG3) they will have it on sale for half what I paid - Life is ironic, so enjoy what you can & laugh off whatever else you can - hee hee. Have fun & I'm off to your next episode!My first character is going to be a multi-class & since I need certain things from both classes (sosrc/cleric), I'm going to switch back & forth with each leveling, so I'll end game at 6/6. I'll miss out on higher spells, but should have good support from both classes to help the rest of the party.

Hello, I’m a new viewer, it’s a unique game to be sure. I myself don’t know about the D&D setting, so I had to look a lot of things up when I started playing the game, as I kept being asked to make important decisions about things that I had no idea what they meant in the setting. There’s still a lot that I don’t get, but I’m trying to understand more of the plot and so on, and reading up on the D&D setting makes it slightly less confusing.

Quite a challenge for your first playthrough -dark urge! Looks like it will be fun. I certainly enjoyed your first run & the way you play. :D I'm not that experienced a fighter, so when my game comes, I'll be running on Balanced for my multi-class & Explorer forthe single classes I want to start. I can always change them up higher later if it's too easy, but I have to learn the mechanics. I do know a bit about D&D tho', since I''ve watched Critical Role for the last few years, & have been a fan of it since it first came out - just could never find a group to play with, & college kept me rather busy. ;) I'm enjoying your character & your enjoyment of the game, so I'll be following your stream for awhile. I'd also like to see how Tactical Mode works, so more reasons to watch - lol. I didn't hear that another Baldur's Gate was out until it won awards at BAFTA & Game Awards, then my friends in Discord started talking about it. So I'm months behind all those who knew it was in development & started playing upon its release last August. But I've enjoyed watching a couple of playthroughs which I needed to do, since the game is expensive for me & I needed to know I would find getting it worth the price. It sure looks like it is. :D Most of all - have fun!!!

About 23:30 - from what I've read, this was the first quest they fully implemented for the game, and at that point in time the devs were still using the witcher 2 approach in quest design. That is why this cave (and pretty much the whole quest) gives off a strong witcher 2 vibe (isolated location, created specifically for this quest, closed off areas, relatively linear progression of the quest). I guess, later on they had developed a more "open-worldy" framework for their quests, but this one still feels more like a witcher 2 quest in the witcher 3 game

Totally agree on the game killing it in the main questline. The atmosphere, speed, cinematics, music, it just holds the right amount of drama and tension. Many diss the game for the rather empty open world part and the collector tasks, but they aren't mandatory so...

Seems like Triss was working for the Lodge to get Shilard Fitz-Oesterlen into Foltest's camp. But it's not clear what Triss or the Lodge gain from Nilfgaard's interference here.

Interestingly, Codringher and Fenn (from the A Time of Contempt) said that the Termerians hadn't arrested and tortured Geralt (to find Ciri) because witchers couldn't endure hardly any torture at all - their nervous system led them to completely fall apart under such duress.

I really like that you take the time to listen to all of the side conversations, especially considering that not all of them are completely "side" in terms of background info. We get SO many dots connected from all of the games in this final entry. Aethyta's chat with Liara is a great example! Hilarious and context rich at the same time 😃

I love that you waived at Vlaakith, tottaly did the same, meeting her is such a high note of the game. If you say "I thought a real god could do it" she will insta kill you. Like literraly game over screen because she uses "wish", a high level D&D spell in dialogue. I was stunned when it happened to me. This was very intense scenerio & episode full of tight plot twists! Puts your braincells rub against each other for real!

Yes, this is such a great part, you're pretty perceptive with dealing with tense situations. Also, that diadem of arcane synergy is great for mixed warrior/ spellcaster like cleric, paladins and sword warlock or bard that still attack with their weapon because it gives them a damage boost. Like a paladin would add his charisma modifier plus his strength modifier when the effect trigger. Fun episode as always!

oh do not explore that area off camera please... Just saying stuff aint over & pretty sure many of us do not wanna miss these areas :)

hey! i really enjoy watching your bg3 playthrough. thank you! about a huge skeleton in the astral sea: there is no information about it in the game (it's not relevant to the plot really), but according to the forgotten realms lore, it might be a long forgotten god. in dnd and bg3 universe gods are very real (i think ppl have already commented about this on your previous videos). when they don't have any followers, they loose their power and eventually die. the astral sea is basically a graveyard for deities.
