It's rated to be driven on 4" of ice... I've definitely had it on less 😂 if you can walk on it the snowdog can cross it

Don't you worry about road salt? I'm planning on putting the Snowdog in the bed of the truck for that reason. I really don't want a salty dog.

How is the hitch rack holding up? Do you have reverse or do you just move the ramps to the other side and drive it off?
The rack is still going strong and I've had it for three years now. No reverse I just move the ramps.
Can you fit a 20# propane tank in that rear cargo area on the snow dog?

It can handle almost anything... deep snow has never been a problem except for going up hill I have to walk next to it. I love this machine it works better than my four-wheeler did in deep snow.

Im doing the same with the hitch hauler, except i found the frame sags and twists while moving.. did you find the same or how dis you prevent the sway?
if I'm going to be traveling long distance with it I put ratchet straps to the outside corners over the tailgate and into the bed of the truck. it will still sway back and forth but nothing to worry about
We are considering a Snowdog for up in Canada. Can you comment on how well it pulls multiple sleds with full gear and two anglers? Do you have the 10hp? We are looking at a compact model.
I have the standard size 13hp. I have pulled 2 ice shanties four Anglers and a sled full of gear over a mile through snow with no problem. I have pulled my shanty three Anglers and a sled through a foot of powder snow and had no problems other than getting it moving. The most I've pulled is 3 ice shanty 6 Anglers and three sleds with no snow

Squirrel Gurske if possible, can you give me the interior dimension of your hitch ramp because I looked at the other hitch ramp and they just give me the overall exterior dimensions so it is very hard for me to measure. Thanks again

When I purchased mine the measurements were 60 x 36 but the 36 was the beam length not the basket. The basket on mine is about 23 1/2" x 60". Hope this helps

Greg the shanty in the video is a otter lodge. I now have the otter xt pro lodge... I will try to make a video this week to show my setup and how the skis are bolted on
