I had one of these back in the 1970's and I let go when I went to college. Aargh.
We love ours ☀️

Moog's answer to the ARP Soloist (minus the aftertouch expression and more varied and useful tones in the Soloist)
the contour slider what is for? thank you
How much is a restore of one of these generally?
Have you ever run your finger across the glass display? It will cut you. That's one of my memories of this synth, plus, it had some great, multi-timbral sounds.
I own one!! Will never sell it. I replaced the battery just last year! Thanks to Midi-OX I was able to save all my custom sounds and load them back in the unit...
Who did the work? I would like restore mine.
I love my TQ5. Look at how amazing it looks in your video too - wonderful 80's design with the offset slashed square, the little black switches and that Guggenheim volume control. It's like an amazing sonic cake!
Hello!! I got one like this, but not sure how to replace battery, mine is not working well, please advise if you have a chance, Thanks!!!! OJ
I can help. On the bottom and the back of the unit or Phillips screws that you removed and the bottom comes off. Once you do that the battery can be replaced one caveat though, it's soldered to the board. What I did was used a CR2032 battery holder from an old motherboard. Hot glued it to an empty space and soldered the terminals to the board. Make sure you wire it using the right polarity. Work like a charm. I lost all my Custom Sounds, but luckily I found them on an old floppy I used the program called midi Ox to reload them.
Cool sounds. Just got a TQ5, do you know if there is anyway to loop the sequencer? Read the manual back to back, doesn't seem to be, but seems odd no to be able to loop!
No loop on the sequencer. That's just the way it was back then.
Hello, I want to refurbish also my Satellite. Where dir you get the fader potentiometer from? Or did you clean them and how. Thanks or an advice - Hagen from Germany
Casio CTK1000 :-D Cool.. I own one, and TQ5 too..
More video/ sound clips in different settings and also new amplifiers!
I hand built and designed it from the ground up. They can be purchased from Motor City Guitar in Waterford Michigan or directly from me (Vertical Amplifiers). It also works great for heavy metal rhythm tracks with different amplifiers. Email for inquire: vertamps@gmail.com -Will
nice distorter! Where did you get it?
