5.3L L83 6L80E swap into 1991 Suburban first test drive...

found cylinders 1,3,2,4 all misfiring without injector pulse, killed engine by unplugging 2 of the working cylinders coils, upon restart the misfire was still present. Cycled key power to Holley Dominator ECU and misfire went away, running fine. 1:40 is when I show engine running on only 4 cylinders

ongoing issue with random no injector pulse during ignition cycle verified injector pulse is dropped for that key cycle. I can kill engine by other means then cycling power to holley dominator ecu, and on restart the misfire is still present (no injector pulse) If I turn ignition power off to holley dominator ecu, and restart, all injector pulses come back and engine runs fine.

This video will go over building the fuse block and diagnostic port.

This video will go over removal of the unused wires in the wiring harness that were depinned from the PCM connectors and cut from fuse block plug c1, c100, c152, c153. I also will show some changes I make to the harness routing. Finally new loom will be installed.

This will be my first video of three parts, going over the harness rework steps for a 2003 5.3L vortec engine. In part 1, I will depin unused wires from the PCM as well as identify wires that will be used in the fuse block, or connected elsewhere in the target vehicle. This process will be nearly identical for any 2003-2007 Gen 3 engine with electric throttle control, with 4L60E or 4L80E trans....
