I don’t believe social media and this current age is ruining travel because before the Vatican has been hugely trafficked by tourists before IG or TikTok as far as I can remember. Same with Italy and Paris and Bangkok and so on. I think the issue you can maybe say here is the IG versus reality. Mainly we all have known it’s going to be heavy traffic of tourists the problems with social media is the edited “reality” of these places being all ours and secluded when we all know that’s not true. This is why we travel when it’s not peak if we want less traffic

My two cents. I had a hard time finding a summer job that I felt paid adequately (as someone with a degree and working on a second degree, I think I deserve more than minimum wage and I wasn’t going to settle nor did I need to). And while applying for jobs and waiting to hear back for interviews I was so bored. My days felt so monotonous and I felt like I had lost my purpose for a bit. I have TONS of hobbies! I love crafting, exercising, walking my dog, gardening, cooking, baking, painting, reading, etc, but you can only do the things you love for so long before even those things become so monotonous and empty. I finally got a job and I love it, but I also have the luxury of still having the time for my hobbies. Its about balance, because I would also hate working anything over the 40 hours of week that I work 😂

As an ex sugar baby, I’m very pro sex worker, but not pro sex work. Sex work will always exist, always has existed, but that doesn’t mean we should put it on a pedestal. Its a very demanding job, that comes with a lot of risk factors, even for OF models who are their own managers and content creators. I think too many young girls and women see the potential money, but not as many people talk about the down side (in a respectful way). As a Veteran I have tons of friends, both male and female who fully retired before age 40. I know more men than women who retired in their late thirties/early forties. I volunteer with two fellow Vets who are retired while their GF and wife are very much focused on their careers. In fact I am retired myself…I wasn’t in a serious relationship though. I’ve been asked what I “do for a living” over the last few years. I’m in my mid forties, I’m no raving beauty or anything but I look decent for age (I think lol). I don’t look like I’m of “traditional retirement age”. I’ve been met with responses like “retired? you’re too young to be retired”. I appreciate the fact that people don’t think I’m in my 60’s. There are quite a few military Vets who retire after 20 years of service. Many military Vets are medically retired due to line of duty injuries etc. I’ve known soldiers in their early twenties who are fully medically retired. Many military Vets go on to have a second career while others spend their time being of service through volunteer work. Bottom line, it’s pretty common for Vets to be retired early in life. IDK really know of any veterans who live this lifestyle per se. Most military folks are active people in general so lounging around full time isn’t real common IME. Personally I think it’s kind of waste to wrap your entire identity in being a “stay at home GF/BF”. Currently there are so many homeless Americans that need help. Animal shelters are always FULL. Many people are in need of assistance of all kinds. Maybe these women could be “stay at home GF’s” while still contributing to society? I’m sure their friends go to work and they could volunteer to help babysit? Or they could volunteer a couple afternoons a week at their local animal shelter? I primarily see this lifestyle as wasting time that could be spent doing something amazing for others. Still, I guess it’s not for me to judge if nobody is being hurt or negatively affected.

Problem with growing up and living in a world where instant gratification is a requirement and quick-routes to everything are sought, the problem with this "do it, Girl!" attitude is those giving it are either in the 1% or very high up so are obviously biased by their success, and that's what gets traction i n an algorithm. No one seems to ever mention the plan for long term effects just as long as you are paying your own bills now you're 'winning at life'. We haven't seen the fall out of the $200-ers or anyone for that matter in a decade's time for this site so its all smiles for those that can make it. The question is have any of them considered not being able to be employed when they are 45 because of the choice they made, to then tap out in five years For now. When they are getting $50 a month or less and the limits you'd have to go to stand out for that? Ew. At that point you could have been ostricised all over, without the 40k a month to offset it and on top have zero options to make any income through regular work as any google search by an employer will ruin any chance of that for you. And all risked because they thought and convinced themselves by taking life advice from a social media app, they could make it and as a result hadn't even considered a plan B. And still failing to bring money in at that point, means their many skeletons will be in that closet that inevitably will creak open at the most inopportune of moments in the future and a couple of bones periodically roll out. I’ve been watching Victoria for many years and she actually started refusing PR a long long time ago. She was sort of recapping it in this recent video. I recall this as I’m in marketing and have created some of this PR for various beauty brands over the years and they’ve really scaled back. I don’t create as much PR as I used to as the Brands have seen the push back that people don’t love the unboxing as they used to and are more aware of the waste that comes with it.
