Kirppikseltä löytyneen LP-levyn puhdistus
zhlédnutí 5KPřed 6 lety
Tekaisin pikaisen videon siitä miten puhdistan kirppikseltä haalittuja vinyylilevyjä. Tämä on peruspuhdistus jonka teen kaikille levyille, likaisemmalle levylle sitten on omat konstinsa. Usein tosin tässä näytetty menetelmä toimii likaisemmillekin levyille pariin kertaan toistettuna.

A short presentation showing the functionality of my restored Philips turntable from the early 70s. Music recorded via the tape out connectors on my B&O Beomaster 3000-2, ambient sounds with the camera's mics. No editing on any sounds, they are just as recorded.

Gosh, this brings back some early 1970's memories! It was my first ever stereo turntable having moved on from my fathers cast off of a 1950's radiogram... I'd completely forgotten about the seriously unrefined auto return feature which (when the wind was in the right direction) occasionally worked and returned the stylus to it's rest at breakneck speed! As the 70's progressed (and with my pocket money saved) it was superseded by an Amstrad TP-12D (a teak fest of a deck complete with rubber band!) - I had clearly arrived!...or had I? Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Regards - Phil

Stellar band all the way through. Fish's voice is epic. Such an intelligent and talented group of true musicians. This band was more than just a band but a total vibe. Wonderful body of work through and through.
i own the Philips 205 too, it's been in use ever since my Grandfather bought it, on the Sony 88 Quad set. It was my kids player now, about to open it, it's direct drive i presume. It's never been serviced ! I did upload it.
Actually it's not direct drive, GA 205's got an idler wheel driving the platter.
Loving this...I own the vinyl album (and also most Fish era albums on vinyl, post-Fish on CD) but currently no deck ... one day soon I must rectify that...thanks for the video...
So much old video 🤯
Been listening to them since the days of Misplaced Childhood! Amazing band. This will always be my favorite album of theirs. It’s perfect!! From Fish’s voice, those lyrics, and the instruments!!! A stage full of Virtuoso’s!!!! A true Masterpiece!! Timeless!!!
Hello my friend! Could you please let me know if this is a mono or stereo turntable, please? Judging by the read and white cables, I guess it should be stereo - but just for me to know. Thank you in advance! Gonzalo.
Hello, it definitely is a stereo turntable!
Que de souvenirs ! L'un des meilleurs groupes de progressif si ce n'est le meilleur. Toute une époque, la meilleure ! 🇲🇫🎧🎸✌️
Sure fool them all made it past 30. Just a chapter. Life better not so complicated. Stay safe people
Brilliant!!!
Love that album Pure class Great sound 👍
If you maintain this lifestyle... You won't reach 30.
Their greatest Album. Sublime.
Burn a little brighter now....
This sounds just like what I would stay up all night listening to on headphones down in the rec room so I wouldn't disturb my folks. FM radio back then would play full sides of LPs with no commercial breaks too in the wee hours.
Good old times.
Timeless, intimate, beautiful and powerful…
Burn a little BRIGHTER NOW .. MARILLION FISH ERA = GREATNESS..THE SKY WAS BIBLE BLACK IN LEON … FOR THOSE KNOW DILLY DILLY …

Amazing sound
Slàinte Mhath is in my top 3 favorite Marillion songs! Never got to see the original band with Fish, but I have everything they recorded, along with Marillion with Steve Hogarth. Such a great band.
Lucky enough see Marillion with Fish here in Dublin along time ago about 1983 with Fish. Always loved the band and saw them many times in England wirh Steve such amazing albums and a band ahead of their time or equal with Genesis3
Necesito el cable adaptador para este microfono al de la demostracion, tiene el plug de TS o 1/4 DONDE LO CONSIGO URGENTE

Thank you so much! This still gives me mega goose bumps! A timeless classic!!
Bought this on Cassette when it first came out. Got the album like two years later. The CD about twenty years ago! Still have all three! Can’t get rid of them! Just seems wrong!!
Great band, great album. But,just not the same for me when Fish left.

X1 word .......MARILLION......enough said ...
Great stuff! Do you have a separate phono amp?
PINK ANDERSON + FLOYD COUNCIL = PINK FLOYD and PINK FLOYD + GENESIS + TOILKIEN = MARILLION and so on and so on and so on ....love it
One of the greatest records ever recorded
Two of the greatest records ever recorded, awesome! Brings back memories.
Here is Torch Song performed live in Gothenburg and recorded by me: czcams.com/video/W85vlGMfo1o/video.html
"Read some Kerouac and it put me on the tracks to burn a little brighter now...." BTW - this DMM pressing is probably the best vinyl version of the album, perhaps the Japanese pressing beats it but only just.
Quality album by Marillion.. Fish on his game here....
You did great on this awesome video.
I see in your video that unfortunately you have the phono-cartridge not properly leveled with the surface of the vinyl. You should try to twist the heafshell. There is some clearance to move the headshell left and right just before locking the screw. The sound will improve! To prevent wear of your vinyl records you can easely set te stylus force at 2.0 grams. I'm very happy with my DTJ 301.
Yeah, the stylus was a bit slanted back then, this video was shot pretty much right after i unboxed the damn thing :) I did fix things after this first high though. This record player was a reboot for my vinyl collecting hobby, after that I have had many vintage 80s and 70s turntables (currently a Dual CS 505-4 in the living room and a late 70's Philips here in my study) and pretty much quadrupled my vinyl collection of 70s and 70s rock and pop music.
C'mon people....subscribe to this guy. greatvvideos!!
I like your Video. :-) Ok you are in the absolut Finnish quietness. How much input did you give the ZOOM H1? An have you tried it in a little bit louder enviroment? And what about wind noise? Greez Gery
Hi Gerhard, thanks for watching and commenting! As I explained (in Finnish ;) ) both my Zoom and the Olympus had their batteries dead thanks to -20C temperature, so this test was recorded to the mic input on my Canon EOS :) As for louder environment, I think that the Dagee performs pretty well for its price, it sometimes can be a bit tricky to get the rec levels right, though.
:-) I miss my Finnish girlfriend... :-) ... I found the sound of your voice really good. There ist some (electrical) noise. But your voice is very clear. I ordered one of these Dagee M-001 from China. For 2.5 ($/€/CHF) So cannot do much wrong for that price. Ja the batteries... now that I listen to you again I understand a little bit of what you say. :-) I have a Sony a58 and the a77II. And the Zoom H1. And the Rode Lav Mic and the Rode Video Mic Pro (which has 9V Power). And yes I also find it tricky to get the sound right. But I will try it out and let you know. As soon as I get it! And batteries do not like -20 Degrees... Maybe quickly in the sauna... :-)) Greetings Gery
I love this song. When I first heard it, back nineteen **cough** eighty **cough** **mumble**, I went and bought Jack Kerouac's "On the road". IMHO: Total bollocks. Gave the book away. Still love the song, though, after all these years.
Oh, and I've had a few pints or more in the Baker's Arm, where the album cover art is set :)
Are you still using this record player? Is it a good record player? there are not enough reviews on the internet
Well obviously it is not such a workhorse like a Technics would be, but I'd say it was definitely worth the price. Unfortunately I don't have mine any more, I sold it while upgrading my music system.
thank you for the reply. I first ordered audio technica at lp60. but there were problem on the delivery. I am looking for a record player that's not more than 200 euros. and this one is 190 euros. well, I guess this is better than lp60
Marillion' s music is like a torch that guides me through the darkness of life.
👍👍👍it does man!
My two favorite Marillion songs. Nice choice, my friend.
Thank you so much. I bought the Decca-Reissue of his Symphonies (6 Lp's) with A. Collins cunducting. A blast!
What a great, atmospheric song. Love playing this, lights down with a glass of red!!
