Hi Steve, For Diesel Pro Parts it really comes down to the best source for quality if the OEM originally sourced a part from China and that factory has been making that part for years we cannot rule out that same factory to make the aftermarket. Of course if there are improvements being made in materials and processes here in the US or something has always been made here or in any other country for that matter we take all that into consideration. Products that are not made in our warehouse in Miami, FL go through an additional quality control process before being packaged for warehousing and later on being sent to you.

I didn’t even know they put blowers on diesels that’s pretty cool. Is that a common thing I have a single turbo on mine but I think that’s all diesels. I thought about going to a compound but I’ve already got 440 something horsepower. I think it’s a 2020 Duramax, I’m just afraid of 10 speed transmission issues
Put a good torque converter in it and ur good. Also, This blower would be used on a 2 stroke detroit.

I remember around 1981 my first trip across the Nullarbor heading to Perth I seen an SAR Kenworth with a KTA 450 on its maiden trip. I think it had an eye watering 1250 lb of torque the truck was appropriately named The king I will always have a soft spot for the K19

The mechanic is just testing the rotation of the rotors with a drill. The drill can turn the gears in both directions.

There's no information in this video! There are multiple timing marks on a Detroit. Left hand turn right hand turn nuts timing or advanced trimming no info on which cam is the drive cam and which cam is the tag cam or where the idler gear goes for which hand turn the engine will run ! Not sure why this video was made !? If the technicians spoke English we would know a little bit more but they only spoke Cuban I don't understand Cuban !!

What is the clearance between the piston and liner
According to the service manual there is no oversize piston made for this engine, therefore this is not something you will need to measure.
