It's a good film but the opening scene is wrong, The White Star Line didn't have any naming ceremony for their ships, One man said of Harland and Wloff: "They just builds em and shoves em in".

True stoicism and heroism at 54:30. People today might think such quiet courage--even making a joke about 'being in the same boat'--is corny or even impossible, but there are many attestations of just such courage on the Titanic that night. One of the most famous quotes (a man to his young wife): 'You go [into the boats] and I'll stay a while'. Reassurance for his wife when he knew full well that he was probably not going to make it--but he put his wife's safety above everything else. Incredibly admirable.

The first time I heard the album this track was on my heart exploded as I was in the midst of some new musical language. ❤

I always loved David McCallum, his acting was incredible. His sense of being in character was perfect.❤️ This was a very realistic version of what was, I think. I love the story line in the latest movie "Titanic" by Cameron but this one seemed more like what was true. What a shame about missing that warning.

A monument to vanity ; she was called unsinkable but it didn't take long for her to sink. The vanity was carrying insufficient lifeboats . A wonderful recreation considering that it was made so long ago .

I loved James Cameron's 1997 film Titanic, but this film "A Night to Remember" from 1958 is the excellent film that best portrays what happens on the Titanic in 1912.

Wow, what an excellent film! All I felt sorry for was Mr. Thomas Andrews! He wanted everything right, he did his best, but the fate of the iceberg appeared, what to do!
