His work with actors especially was remarkable, its hard to think of another director who could take a novice or B-list actor or even a non-actor and forge him into an Oscar-level performance, and all that with such ease and simplicity.

Doesn’t make sense to say a painting is great and a piece of music is great but a film isn’t. Someone can think a painting is boring and a mess and someone else can be obsessed with that same piece. Same with film. I get people idolize greats.. and he was a great whether he likes it or not lol.. but still humans before anything and humans can say nonsense at times 😂 he’s so interesting!

I have a "problem" with Jack Nicholson acting. Everytime I see a movie with him, I always see the actor behind the character, maybe because his features, expressions and voice are so particular. Having said that One flew of a Cuckoo's nest is a marvel of acting
