Crazy that Palpatine went from this glorious peak to the disaster that was Episode 9

If you look closely at the end of the duel where sidious uses the force to throw maul around, notice how it’s his torso that hits the walls/ground. Sidious was making sure to hit mauls living flesh, not his mechanical legs.

I love this fight. Maul let Vizsla have almost every advantage even though he could have let it end very quickly with the force- Vizsla spends so much of the encounter flying around, pelting him with stuff at a distance. Even without relying much on the force, Maul was still able to outclass Vizsla in tactics, cunning, and strength. That personal beatdown at the end was very satisfying, especially after that brief cut to Vizsla's acolytes looking down at their once-renowned champion in disappointment. This fight is framed as an inherently honorable duel between two very dishonorable people. Vizsla prefaces it by giving Maul his lightsaber in a necessary show of good faith, but he then proceeds to fight scared, which I can't really blame him for. The dude probably thought he was dead the moment Maul challenged him. It's great that, despite himself, Maul realizes the need to put on an honorable display, culminating in him practically ending the fight unarmed- he appropriately claims the Darksaber only when he knows he's succeeded. God I love The Clone Wars.

I really cannot understand how a series with so much murder gets a PG rating. Palpatine starts the scene by choking two people and ends it with torture.

I absolutely love how he uses as little energy as possible to kill those two guards in the beginning. Crush the wind pipe and walk away. Why waste time choking someone out 🤣🤷

THIS is the Obi-Wan I love. THIS is the Obi-Wan who beat Maul. Obi-Wan raging, fighting dirty and using his anger as a tool of light. He was one of the best. If not for his scruples he would be even more powerful.

Sidious could’ve dealt with Mayl and Oppress as quickly and easily as he did the guards, but he was having fun. In lightsaber skill it was a close match between Maul and Sidious, but Sidious’ force power is far greater that it instantly wins

I love that after palpatine defeats savage maul doesn't ignore him and continues to fight palpatine no hes actually sad and comes to him for his last moments this really shows mauls character growth and the bond he made with his brother

I will never get tried of how much fun Sidious has being evil, usually villains are very one sided with emotion and it’s usually anger or sadness of some sort but Sidious is quite possibly the happiest person in the galaxy and its all because he purely enjoys being evil

This is awsome. Maul fights without using the force and Visla actually shows some impressive saber skills against a Sith assassin of that caliber.

One thing ive noticed is that Savage was built up to be this massive beast who can throw punches and tank hits with ease. And basically a lot of the time when someone would hit or kick him, he wouldnt budge. But here we have Palpetine who can kick him hard enough to flip him and even disorient him enough with a hit and kill him with ease

I love this fight so much! You can tell Sidious isn't even trying here,he's just letting loose despite how risky it is for him to deal with an issue personally

People can say maul didn’t use the force but pre vizla put up a good fight and got decent hits on maul someone who’s killed a Jedi master before
