This soundtrack is one of my favorites. A movie soundtrack now is just a collection of hit songs aka The Big Chill and American Graffiti. Movie scores were once a beautiful piece of music setting the mood of the movie
I love this song! Tanya sings it perfectly
Great singer and the most beautiful songs ever written. The current generation of popular music is utter garbage compared to these classics.
Qualquer canção fica bem nessa voz ... tenor do.meu coracao ❤🎶
Fantastic voice. Feelings and depth. Breath taking.
Some enchanted evening You may see a stranger, You may see a stranger Across a crowded room And somehow you know, You know even then That somewhere you'll see her Again and again. Some enchanted evening Someone may be laughin', You may hear her laughin' Across a crowded room And night after night, As strange as it seems The sound of her laughter Will sing in your dreams. Who can explain it? Who can tell you why? Fools give you reasons, Wise men never try. Some enchanted evening When you find your true love, When you feel her call you Across a crowded room, Then fly to her side, And make her your own For all through your life you May dream all alone. Once you have found her, Never let her go. Once you have found her, Never let her go!
this may be the most beautiful thing I have ever heard
As a music teacher of 30 years I’m maybe slightly qualified to say Jose is my favourite tenor ever, and this song one of the great Rodger’s and Hammerstein songs written. It’s on a par with Jose’s Maria in West Side Story which brings me to tears when I hear it. Such amazing tone, dynamic control and breathing, he really does have it all…..
MY VOICE CANNOT SING THIS, BUT MY HEART MASTERS IT !
MY VOICE CANNOT SING THIS, BUT MY HEART MASTERS IT !
He is great. He should have played the role of Emile in the movie version of South Pacific
Gorgeous! Watch the beautiful intensity as he holds that last note. Jose Carreras is one of the few tenors who not only sounds beautiful but also looks beautiful singing. He was made for roles such as this, Andrea Chenier, and Don Jose. ❤
The very beautiful, very talented and very versatile singer, actress, dancer, entertainer, performer, person, Shani Wallis never has received the accolades and recognition that she deserves! It should be Dame Shani Wallis! Shani Wallis is the only one who can perform this song! This song truly belongs to her! I have always loved Shani Wallis! Shani Wallis should have won the Golden Globe Award, the BAFFTA Award, the Academy Award and all the other Awards for best actress for her performance as Nancy in the classic, excellent, fantastic, terrific, and wonderful 1968 movie Oliver! The classic 1968 movie Oliver! is one of my favorite movies of all time! I was born in 1978 in the United States. Thank you for posting and sharing this brilliant, beautiful, classic, iconic, incredible and excellent performance!
SUPERB enough said
It's the end of the song that separates the men from the boys. Carreras is excellent.
1966, What a Wonderful time to be a kid growing up. Sadly, the Vietnam War cut a lot of young lives short, R I P.
Larry would’ve had a ball accompanying this staggeringly good singer!
i love his voice..
Stunning!
Grandeeeee
That song reminds me when I was home on leave from the army, and I hated to leave my girlfriend Jan, I get sorrowful.
Bravo ! Magnificent performance done with heart !
she was the best 😘👍
This song brings memories of my childhood, when I saw south pacific with my father on television.
This not MGM'S "YOLANDA AND THE THEIFT" THIS IS MGM'S "ZIEFIED FOLLIES of 1946" BUT LOVE THIS SCENE ANYWAY!
Que gran interprete de preciosa voz es mi querido Jose Carreras. Un fuerte abrazo alla donde esten a el y a los que soñaron amores con su voz
Grteat classic by the genius of Michel Legrand, and sung by such a pretty woman
Incredible voice!! ❤️
This movie and it's musical score simply could not be done in 2022. Only a director like Robert Wise and a composer like Jerry Goldsmith could evoke the poignancy of the story for the audience. I don't see this in the Hollywood of today.
Her vocals gave me chills, Amazing!👏👏👏
best rendition i ever heard beside one by perry como, a timeless performance felt very deeply as the singing progresses. thanks so much for the upload.
Danny McLain , I have seen this video a lot for the last 10 years And it is great to see this every time... I like hammond organs very much , i had a hammond hx100 very great sound.. I like also the lp's from Danny I have listen on youtube very good and is on my greatist list of the best organist i knew... In the Netherlands we have and had also greatest organist ... We had Cor Steyn (1907 - 1965) and Stef Meeder stil lives... Willy Weits (1930-2004
Burt & Dusty =⭐🌠🌞🌝☀️🌈🔥🌠🌌🌌🎹🎶🎵
Bob Ralston raped my uncle when he was 13
I'm in love with her!
I love Dusty, and I miss her, so
Burt Bacharach and His Choice Of Vocalist...Are Just Amazing....I Fallowed This Guy's Music All My Life 😊....Now It Is 2022....I am still....Burt Did A Great Job Singing With Dusty!!!!....This Generation Has No One....U Do Not See Greatness In A Song Like That Now!!!
Everytime I listen to this song, it brings tears to my eyes.
The man had talents
Best best best EVER
The most amazing singer what a fabulous live performance sends goosebumps all over
great song, but so kitchy, the execution here. even for that era.
it's YOLANDA, people. change it!!!
Favorite singing I'd this song. Love Jose Carrera
I use to watch the Lawrence Welk show back then and think how corny and stale it was...now I don't mind watching snippets of it because it is quality entertainment compare to the crap we watch currently.
Sad Song but Dusty sings it soo beautiful! Me 2👼🎼👼👼☮️👼🦉
Good grief that brought tears to my eyes. Just stunning
YOLANDA
Simplement sublime
Bob Gibson and McClain were featured on an episode of Ed Sullivan after they competed in the WS. Gibson played something on guitar while McClain played Ipanema on organ. Not sure if this is from that episode but assume it is(?)
