I don’t think the price I paid cost a lot for a long distance. I’m not sure if the right way to go where isn’t actually the place for taxi services. Imagine people travelling to Bangkok for the first time.

I don't think so and this test is not from 23andMe! What is that? I noticed that some of my family members came from Laos and Vietnam. No questions about that. Thai people can’t be 100% Tai obviously, Seems came from everywhere around Asia, especially China. No joke 😏

Hi there, people are friendly there. I didn't experience any discrimination there a lot all. As an Asian myself, I feel comfortable there. This place has Chinese history and is well known. So they get used to Asian faces, no need to worry. I saw many Asian families travelling there too. A lot of Asian restaurants as well. Such as Thai food, Chinese food and Indian food. Hope you enjoy exploring Tasmania.

I'm mixed race South African after 52 years in Sydney, retired to Launceston area. Just love it! People are fabulous.

@Andreacarboni6215 - are you on Q306 SYD to MEL this Thu - 2 Feb? If so, so am I! My partner and I (26th Anniversary- we missed celebrating our 25th last year due to remaining days of COVID craziness and the remnants of Australia & Victoria’s borders opening up) But onto happier thoughts :-). We are flying MEL to SYD Thu AM and then taking the QE back home to Mel! Our check in time says 1500; but we arrive at the Overseas Terminal around noon - so planning to pick up a 6 pack of Coke, and see about checking in and boarding - hopefully earlier than 1500. We would like to try and make the 1500-1600 afternoon tea on Thursday - even if our cabin isn’t quite ready - happy to explore the ship a bit before unpacking and getting our evening suits ready for dining. Looking forward to Friday nights Gala/Masquerade dinner! The one suggestion / reminder I might offer is to ensure you take a RAT test 24 hours before boarding, and snap a pic of it with your smart phone, Watch/clock, and something with Thursdays date on it - they can deny boarding if you aren’t able to produce evidence of a negative test within 24 hours of boarding. A bit of the honour system it seems; as it says they reserve the right to ask to see the photo. I’d also make sure you have your Aussie Government Covid green tick app too; as Aussie cruises require proof of vaccination (and boosters too) else; they will deny boarding. If not already done - check out the “find your booking” part of Cunards website - and do the pre embarkation bits at home (adding a photo, credit card for charges, and printing both your boarding pass and luggage tags). There are also links that talk about Australia specific Covid protocols that are in effect for all cruises until 1 Mar 2023 (then the requirement for showing vaccination status is going away). Enjoy your cruise !

I arrived there half an hour before my check-in time. They allowed me to get in earlier, no problem. The check-in process was professional and fast. Don’t worry about the long queue. Make sure you print all required documents out, it helps the check-in smooth. Only 3 processes Check-in > scan the bags > immigration check > then go to your room!

@@iroamaround_ It's been a game changer. First time using MacOS myself, though there are 4+ macbooks in the house and once i adjusted to the shortcuts and gestures it's been brilliant. I think i much rather prefer alternative mouses like the logitech mx so may purchase that in the near future!
