if i had a nickel for every boss fight against zero in the mega man x series that could easily have his ai broken by jumping over one of his attacks repeatedly i would have two nickels which isnt a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

In this state, no. For some reason trying to latch on to HOTK here doesn't result in anything, it just behaves like if you were to try walking into him normally. What is interesting though and what isn't shown here is that the player hitbox doesn't actually despawn so if hand of the king does his bomb throw attack you can die in this state lol
