You a bet’n man?
Been awhile since we broke out with a new video, figured we’d do one for old time sake. Not a “how to” or “instructional” video just something to let ya know we’re still doing what we do. Maybe we’ll wipe the dust off and get back to it who’s knows...like, comment, subscribe.

Is this something most mechanic shops can fix, or more a nuisance kind of service that only certain businesses do?
Man I love that color
Was recently given one of these, minus some parts of course. Trying to find the RJ45 pinout for the accessory leads. Would anyone be willing to ohm out their accessory leads for me? No way am I spending $300+ on leads for a free tester lol. Already tried Google and also tried tracing the connections, no luck.
Congratulations
... Clamps are a wear item and to be replaced if you have errors. Took me a lil to figure that out. each side of the clam has its own dedicated wire. 2 clamps = 4 wires. Cheap and replaceable
I took the hut back off because I retired and to lazy to put it back on Let grandsons fight my daughter for it but she will get it by the will …
Man vs machine... You win. 🏆🏆 Great video
you the man! thank you for making this video
Ford synchro tool at 26:21 Hahahaha
Does that data link communication work on the MOST data ?
Oops, it is a 7/32 socket.😄
This was good instruction to change the switch without needlessly removing other components. Note the a 5/32 socket works well for the 5.5mm referenced for cover removal.
Ye been good if u showed the bypass
Good find! I'm having the same exact issue with 2005 Explorer SportTrac.. Gotta be a Ford thing.. Lots of videos point to this.. Thx for posting
I use a 90 degree pick on those jesus clips, faster than dickin around with the jiffy tite tool if you ask me, fellas.
Hey could afford all the additional features if he went on a diet.
Wish you would give better direction, like wire connections and how you bypassed sensor
Dude! Easy Peasy! I watched a few videos before I found yours, but yours had exactly what I needed. Thanks so much you saved me a bunch of money and down time! 😀
You are awesome! The first video I saw to replace this part, they took the whole steering wheel apart. So happy I found your video, saved so much time!!
Can’t be much of a mechanic if your a trump supporter and proud of it. That’s a sign of being not too smart. A trump tool cabinet would be made in Russia anyway. trumps a traitor. He gets back in, if he somehow manages to stay out of prison, the repo man will be cummin to get that box and everything in it. this country will be a few billionaires and the rest will be dirt poor peasants.
When I say straight to the damn point. Been having to bypass the switch and pop the hood. After seeing your video has definitely made it just that simple. I'll buy the switch tomorrow and install it. Thank you for making this video 🤙
The source of the intermittent power in the 05-07 is the resistor network SMD next to the microcontroller. The pins you pointed out are just for the display and don't have anything to do with powering the unit. The reason why it appears to have fixed the issue is, in order to remove the PCB you have to flex the board. Flexing of the board will make bad joints touch again, but unfortunately it's only temporary. I have a video posted that show's how to permanently repair this generation of the super duty.
You should link your video gives some of us more info for the DiYer

@@jeffescortlx you're the man brotha
Great coverage. Clear video with concise instruction. No garbage background music. How it should be done, thank you very much. 👍😁
This should be the same from years 2001 to 2012 Escape/Tribute/Mariner as per my Chilton repair manual.
SURE LOOKS EASY WHEN YOU DO IT
I just bought the same epiq box, still waiting for the locker. That box is crazy!!!!!
the best video , hardest part was taking the clips off the switch
And this is why having a scope is a good thing
and that pays one hour....lol
Anyone have a part number for this?
I’m very new at CZcams so my knowledge on all of it’s workings is vague at the best. I will say I’d like to see this young man posting more videos of his diagnosis and repairs in the auto world. I have been in the auto repair industry most all of my life and I believe I know talent when I see it and this man is blessed with more than his share. Great job, I see you may be idle with the channel but hopefully your still active where needed.
Snap-on tools are forever
I despise Fords...DESPISE! Exactly because of crap like this.
@@dadigitechman - That's definitely one way to look at it.
Great stuff brother. 👍🏻
Thank you so much. I can’t believe the shop quoted me $500 for this! Took me 15minutes to fix after ordering the 5.5mm socket and switch from Napa for less than $100.
Wow! My husband just paid $520 to get this fixed today 4/2/2022 on my car...
Don’t damage it, it will make the re sell easier if the dealer repos it. 😂 kidding! Frickin awesome box!
Ive got to say 2 THUMBS UP this by far was a easy peasy deal ...It took me longer to put the screws back in than the actual part ...This is Spot ON ...thank you sir
My 2006 has issues where the tach, speedo will freeze up and milage will disappear. I swapped in a known good cluster and same thing. I touch the blue conector slightly and it will work. Can a guy cut and splice in a new conector with pins?
What a sucker. I'm sure it's been repo'ed by now, or the guy sold it on the cheap and is on the run from his debt. Idiot
Man I seen this video and had to see just How much these Huge Tool Chests cost… for the way this is set up it would be over $30K!!!!! On Tool Cabinets ( Chest )??? That’s a Vehicle Or Car Payment…🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😭😂 And that’s the Epiq line, And without the fold up desk area… This Shit is ridiculous.. it’s a Tool Box!!!🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️😂 Not to mention the TOOLS…especially when a Snap On Ratchet is at least $100..🤦🏻♂️
Everything an oily toolbox needs. Great deal keep it up!!!!
Thanks so much for your video. I just changed the ignition switch for a lady and it worked. She is so happy and she saved a whole bunch of money!
What can I do to bypass this worthless cluster
Just by the name of the video tells me there ain’t no work getting done in that shop to have such a big toolbox but like everything else it’s just taking up space 😂🤣😂🤣
A scratched tool is "abused", not "used".
Nice box, but shame you consider yourself American.

Came across another fix to this problem. If I remember correctly, the only white connecter on the cluster, cut number 1 wire and splice it into number 19 pin. It bypasses the onboard relay all together.
i'm trying this .... hopefully it works :) :) :) I've been soldering the shit out of the board for days now and am running out of options. :) :):)
pin 1 on blue connector is brake fluid level signal .... 19 is voltage supplied at all times (overload protected) ... pin 4 is accessory delay relay control ... HMMMMM what to solder together to skip the relay :) :) :)
@@incognytothegreat do you have a link of where you got the wiring diagram for those pins I'd love to seeif one goes back to the ESOF switch anywhere Thanx
That’s nothing you should see him spend on the lunch truck. !!
Baby come back
How did you bypass the cam sensor?
