Tsuyama Karate pt. 3: Punching Techniques
I seem to have pefected a new type of kick after around 8 years training in the early 70 s We were taught the side snap ( keage kick ) body turns sideways and the kick snaps out from the knee. Due to myself being very flexible ,i managed to do this kick face on to my opponent . I bring my knee up across my upper chest twist my foot round so outer edge faces opponent. And i snap it out to their face. I still can do some weird things with my ankle joints ,i can make them face back wards. This kick is not only fast ,but totally unexpected .The other guy suddenly finds the outer edge of my foot in their face . I have even been asked what kick it is . I guess its a side snap keage executed face on .lol
Heç bir katada yuxarı ayaq zərbəsi yoxdu !butun bu ayaq zərbələri savat idman növündən gəlir
Johnny Cadillac is the best for Uraken
Nice
Very deep and thorough explanation and demonstration
OSU shihan
It looks like a side kick not a back kick 🤔
👍 Perfekt. Oss.

Johny Cadillako mutchi matashi
👍
Not exactly Sensei Gigo Funakoshi ushiro but pretty much it.
I love this kick .But I do it closer in than this demo.I have very flexible ankle joints ,and can get a fair bit of power in this kick .Nearest example i have seen is in the Billy Jack clip of kick to head.
Oss

Johnny cadillac > maître japonais
Thank you master
Là on est sur un Uraken. Johnny lui nous enseigne le Huracan avec un geste parfait. Je pense qu'avec une telle force du sang peut sortir par les pores de la peau sans blessure 😂😂
👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏.
La patada más MARAVILLOSA jamás inventada. Y con una ejecución impecable.
Qui est la pour le dm de maths ???
TOUJOURS DE 3/4 FACEUUHHH !!!!
2018-2019
vulnerable for leg sweep lol
Nani?
何?
Two variants of the technique explained here. First is the snapping uraken which uses the "whipping" principle with hip vibration and the fist must be recoiled as fast as it goes out. The wrist also bends at the end to add to the whip and the seiken knuckles can impact to smash bony targets like the cheek bone or nose. The ear is not the target, you can use a hand slap to damage the inner ear if that is your objective. The hip moving opposite to the fist direction at the instant of impact actually adds power to what is a lightening fast technique - its the same principle as gedan-barai, uchi-uke, etc if you are doing those correctly. The second technique is the spinning uraken where the centripetal motion of the whole body is used to add power to a slower but more forceful penetrating blow and is not recoiled. This is more suited to bulky targets like the mid-section to break ribs.
KARATE DO BIEN SUR TOUT HIEN NIDAN
You need masterclass hips to freak this
This is the perfect side kick!
Maybe it is beautiful but weak. Only ushiro geri is useful like it is used in taekwondo.
@@suprememasteroftheuniverse Why weak? When I practice against a tree, starting from some crouch stance, it seems pretty solid. But I have never used in real fight
@@suprememasteroftheuniverse He'd knock your head off with that kick.

this and mawashi geri are fight enders.
un bon uraken dans la tronche bam bam!
Mae geri may not look that strong, because you don't push your partner very far. In fact, it is Not a pushing force, it is more like a whip. The impact is short and hard and so the result is a shock. The human body is about 70% water and a hydrostatic shock can be much more dangerous than a slower, but stronger, pushing force. The same principle is applied it you compare a pushing through boxing haymaker, that uses a big striking surface and a classical, more snapping zuki with a clear end of the motion
As my sensei says, unless you want to push him back and run the objective of this kick is not to push, is to strike
taşak
Very informative separation and commentary from sensei.
some people just dont use Uraken properly is supossed to wait an opening and go for the ear no temple no chest no solar plexus just the ear there is the target for uraken
for the record Uraken Uchi is especially developped to damage internal ear and ear drum is powerful and dangerous because risks permanent damage or even death its works but is an illegal move in the ring and a high risk move everywhere (sorry for bad english)
But, Karate-DO is war fight.

I have a question. In this video I'm trying to figure out if they're saying zenkutsu dachi is an inward tension stance?
Actually if I'm correct he's just explaining how you want your feet and knees.
Perfect form but what else would you expect from chief instructor of JKS.
juninhooBr : This is Shotokan.
Kinda similar to "Yoko geri keage", but even more powerful to the throat or the chin.
Wikipedia made me come here to watch this move, slick move.
