Yes totally we love the Ponant expedition experience their expedition crew are so knowledgeable it really makes the trip

There was no obstruction from the one we stayed in, if you watch to the end I walk out on to the veranda and it has a full view. When you say does it have a cover, it has another veranda above it, you also see that briefly on the video

Thanks for the clarification which is very helpful and yes it’s a very good video. My wife and I are booked for a mini suite on the Pacific Encounter in March but we don’t have our deck/room allocation yet. Considering that the mini suites on 9 & 10 don’t have any cover, I’m figuring 8 may be better with the cover of the balcony above. Regards, Jason.

Yes the Category MB Mini Suites are huge on Pacific Explorer. They are great for families with the seperate sitting area which has the double bed settee. You are correct if you went up to a full suite it would be enormous as the full suites are right on the Aft of the ship. We will try and get a walk through of the full suites next time we are onboard

Yes, There is a sort of desk/dressing table next to the master bed this had power sockets on it

Sounds like you have some other kind of issue with Carnival.

Didn’t hear any engine noise or vibration here. We were right by the elevators and as the bathroom/wardrobes etc are on that side of the suite, it protects you from any noise from the corridors etc. all up it was a great mini suite

Unfortunately not, Samoa and Niue are not embarkation ports for cruise ships. The only South Pacific islands that have occasional one way voyages to New Zealand or Australia are Tahiti or Hawaii
