I wish I could be as carefree as you. I went to college for painting and am a painter, but I have a 'day job' in corporate bc it's very expensive to live where I am in los angels and otherwise I don't think I could afford to live here unless I got really lucky or something.

I am a generation X baby, iºve had the best life growing up in the 70ºs and 80ºs, but i agree with you older people are judgmental and boring, but unfortunately and sadly there's younger people from younger generations that are like that, i know this because i worked with a lot of younger people that were so old and had such an old mentality and that is the real tragedy. My advice to you is keep being you, pay no attention to these judgmental old people, that's what they want' it makes them feel important. And adopt a cat, they are the very best!

It's good to think outside the box and be creative but you need to understand that if everyone lived in the "now" or the "unknown"all of the time,society would crumble,it's not because a bunch of 20 year olds came up with a new term to define this lifestyle,that that's going to change and you need to have the humility to understand that,cause right now you're coming off as the female joker lol...

Heyyyyy, so as a Boomer myself, I have to say that I never once thought that you should go get a job, you cant get a cat, yadayada, I mean how do you know the people leaving those comments ARE boomers? How do you know? They could just be 15year old trolls. Im sure you're aware of all the trolls on social media. Even if they are boomers, who looks like really get under your skin, who cares? I feel similarly not "Oh I'm older, better,etc. etc." just "I AM older so what can I learn/what am I missing that younger generations can see." Check out the cat Cafe in Brooklyn Heights. They also have a vet for a reduced fee. But you can also foster and not worry about the commitment until you are ready. It is a wonderful sanctuary. Go early to avoid the kids.
