the amount of times i’ve rewatched this since it first came out and somehow laughed at it every single time it’s amazing ngl

1:00 this was my favorite part when max was trying to get his line right😂😂😂

My favorite thing about this is that it’s entirely on point for the characters. Gwen cares. She gets upset for others, you see that with her fantasy boyfriend and with how she responds to seeing Max’s parents didnt care in the parents day episode. David is always the one to calm a situation, and truth is if that phonecall had been longer he would have gotten mad too. David is capable of being aggressively mad, simply not as quickly as gwen no matter the reason. Max would embrace David. We’ve been shown that throughout everything Max becomes more comfortable around David and even stops trying to ruin him and better yet, cares about him. I once again reference parents day as a reason for this because in that episode, though briefly, Max hugs David. Because in the end, David was there for him, and made him feel loved and cared for.

If David ever meets Max’s parents in-show, I’m honestly expecting him to explode. Gwen just stares at him in shock as he curses them out because she didn’t think it was even possible for him to get *that* angry. He’s genuinely frightening. When you push a sincerely kind, caring person past their limit, they’re scary as hell.
