Really hard to tell if they do or if a sword tick happens at the same time and that is the source of the crit vfx and melee hit sfx. Even if you don't see this thank you king and fire run I guess crit stacking is meta anyways but I really want to know for science lmao

So zsd is that strong. I only used SA in rise sunbreak and its definitely my favorite, i feel like gimped when im not spamming zsd in mhw. The mobility is also infinitely terrible compared to sunbreak even with EE 3, that side step distance is fking terrible, If only the step distance is better, I'd use it frequently. "Why dont you just evade roll" Its hard, you cant roll everything, and need at least 2 EW to make it comfortable. In kulve fight particularly or any huge monster like behemoth and safi, EE is infinitely better than EW because you can just get away with it. Besides I can't fit much EW without good jewels, I haven't even fought rajang special yet.

honestly aerial style is probably my favourite one design-wise out of all of them in GU, striker and alchemy are neat ideas but stripping back your weapon doesn't feel great in many cases and some specific weapons get specific options buffed for some reason (striker lance😒). adept and valor just feel way too good honestly, it hardly even feels like you're playing monster hunter with how free they make dodging attacks. Aerial style lets you do a lot of the stuff adept and valor can do but it feels like you actually have to put in work for it (which is unfortunate for some weapons because it doesn't end up being super worth it in many cases). The vault i-frames are weird, but if you learn to use them there's a surprising amount that you can do with it, and i think charge blade's aerial AED is a good example of what more weapons *should* have gotten- not like a big damage finisher, but at the very least vaulting should give you a little more reward than, for example, the same old regular greatsword charge you'd normally just be doing on the ground.

I know that i am a little late, but this is an amazing run. Going thorugh the rise right now, only missing 3 apex rampages, and their solo quests. Then i will start with Sunbreak officially.

does mount damage build up during a KO? so if a monster is KO'd I can keep doing aerial attacks so once it gets up it's already at the mounting threshold

I personally adore the "Counter Build that still dodges" playstyle. I have a Poison Longsword build that revolves around evading for Adren Rush and then Helm Splitters or stronger Iai Slashes.

Ok, so how do you perform the aerial tier 3 discharge? Whenever I try to do the normal input in the air it does the full phial slam.
