A few more ideas that I used ground pork for. That’s what we like in our eggrolls and also in tacos.
A lot of times I will use ground beef in a taco type dish. But I had some ground pork in one of those rolls from the freezer so since it’s always too much and would make way too many egg rolls ……although… I guess ain’t nothing wrong with that !ha ha but this time I just wanna show especially the new cooks. It’s OK to make stuff ahead of time to make life easy in the kitchen. Thanks for watching btw!

Someone asked me does the chicken end up rubbery absolutely not. You put it in the water halfway up even if it’s frozen like I did today, put that lid on it and get it to simmer before you know it the water is just about gone. I take it out and then it’s important to get the skillet. Hot again, with some more oil and little mix of butter and then put that chicken in and get a good sear on it! Y...

I actually worked in one of the restaurants I mentioned here, and the guy that put it together, well we used to talk a lot about food. We often still go to Bellasarios because the food is delicious and very reasonably priced! We always get the house dressing on our salad as does everybody else. OK at the last minute I did end up using the dry mix to sprinkle on top. But you don’t really need it but of course if you have dried or fresh dill use a little bit of that. The combination is so yummy! And don’t forget some pepper if you like that as well.

I usually make coleslaw as a mayonnaise dressing. Sometimes with a little splash of vinegar, but I gave this a go after I made it in a restaurant and thought I think I know how to make this ha ha I could taste for sure so I gave it. I just didn’t want toast. Lol so instead of putting it in the toaster, I threw it in the skillet along with a couple of those little breakfast sausage. I picked up the flavor nicely, and I added our eggs and voilà! It was delicious. I hope you’ll try this sometime soon. #cookingwithauntshirley

Such an easier way to make this than we used to back in the day. Back in the day mean 40 years ago! We used to do this on the stove, top, and a big pan, the biggest one we can find. We submerge the cans get the water rolling boil, and keep it going for 10 hours! We may candy from it like my homemade pecan turtles. It’s great on ice cream or other desserts. But so much easier this way.

      @@bepbe11 that particular one is an 8 x 8 it’s a very old-school pan :-) I also can use the 9 x 9 but I like this one because the sides are really straight up and down with no curves in the bottom.

I know there are a zillion CZcams videos, where by people have multiple cameras and certain lighting, and certainly don’t talk as much as me. I didn’t wanna be like that. I just wanted to be my authentic self, and have people feel like they’re sitting in my kitchen with me talking. My Facebook group is much more interactive in that regard.     you are wrong. jimmies are elongated tubes. sprinkles are round dots. this is a monstrous claim.

      When in doubt, we consult Merriam-Webster in these situations. Apparently, the dictionary definition for jimmies used to be "decorative things," though that has been adapted today to "tiny rod-shaped bits of usually chocolate-flavored candy often sprinkled on ice cream." (and actually came from a man who worked in the factory who makes those Easter marshmallow peeps. Of course his name is Jimmy! And the term is used a lot more in the Pittsburgh and Boston area than other places. ) Sprinkles can, of course, refer to a light rain, or "small particles of candy used as a topping (as on ice cream)." With these definitions in mind, sprinkles feels more all-inclusive. Maybe they're rainbow, maybe they're chocolate, and they could be a topping for ice cream, donuts, or even fairy bread. I don’t see it mentioning anything about them being dots although I have seen them as dots but I mostly see them as the tube shaped. And I actually laughed and had a good giggle over here using the word monstrous ☺️

      Haha i guess me .☺️ I didn’t want to ice them right then, and without the icing on top I personally think they get a little bit stale. If I had them iced already, I would’ve put them in the one room that stays kind of cooler than the rest of my house, and I think they would’ve been fine. But I didn’t want to frost them until that day. Thanks for commenting though! You have me thinking and maybe I’ll ask my little Facebook group what they think about sticking them in the freezer for a day instead of just wrapping them up or setting them out.😊

      Yay! I sprained mine with a little avocado oil same side down and watch them closely because they’ll turn brown and crispy and no time at all. They’ll go from being brown and soft to crispy crispy just how I like them! Thank you for your kind words by the way!

    Aunt Shirley, put something rubber under your cutting board and it won't slide around like that. You can buy the rubber shelf liner and cut a piece to fit. I use one of those rubber things to open jars with. 😊

    hi. I just finished dipping 60 rods for a fundraiser. Your video really helped me so much. I also put the chocolate and the double boiler in my sink and dipped them there. I didn't have the usual mess of chocolate all over my kitchen and the chocolate was a great consistency throughout.

      It was how thin the dough should be. And about how many inches 12 inches the square should be Also what the nuts and mixture look like The same side down, went to put the egg wash on and how to tuck in the ends is probably the most important thing. They’re probably were more, not just that one that you said overfilling.

      Ty! Recently discovered, I don’t use nonstick spray on the tins first, it works better. I put the papers in first and then I spray those and it works fine. I think it might’ve been my spray, and I was heavy heated, but just in case! Best of luck, and happy new year.

    You should be more careful putting the chops into the pan. Because you absent-mindedly threw them down in there and a lot of the coating came off and spilled into the oil and then some of the oil would fly up against the edge of the pan and sometimes over the side. There's absolutely no need for that. Place the chops into the pan slowly. Pay attention to what you're doing.

      @@misty-anncoleman6710 aww thank you for those affirming words. I was indeed a little hesitant in making my videos to public for that exact reason. I started during Covid because I couldn’t have some of the young girls I was showing the basics of cooking in my house. I started this just to be helpful to those few friends and some family members. But then their friends wanted to join in and now here we are! Ha ha I actually get nervous if I see a comment but my husband assures me it’s just a number and positive and I should try to remember that. Wise words 😊

I have a Facebook group whereby I actually like it so much better because the interaction maybe because it’s small and most people on there are my friends ha ha, anyway I have so many little videos and I even have all of my recipe cards in one of the albums!
