Taking Down Huge Trees for Future Projects / LOG CABIN Building (S4 Ep13)

I had to cut down these trees due to the bark beetles infestation last year. Some trees were dying, some were already dead, but I had to cut all that were showing the signs of being sick, to prevent the spread. Well I do have to say that is completely the wrong way to get bolts in concrete. You determine ahead of time where they go and hang them in the concrete when you pour it.

Nik, how far a hike from your log cabin is it up to that gorgeous mountain top view of the clouds?
To hike from the cabin would be around 2 hours, but I do a part of the road with the car and than walk maybe 10-30minutes depending how far I can go with the car.
Shame I can't even build a bird's house.

people do not understand a scribed log home. Scribed is a real craftsmanship thing. Most people see the slat sawn log homes. To me that is cheating. And they're not done by the owner. They are paid to do by a log home builder. I built a cedar log scribed log home. There's no comparison. I AM IMPRESSED
