This process was very easy for us. It was two steps: Online and then going in person to a local post office for fingerprinting. The turn around was very quick (if your record is clean)

Can I find a property in or close to El Valle between .5-1 hectares under 20K ? That's my aim. I will build my own home, contract the well driller and septic install. Want enough space for small vegetable garden and maybe a couple of goats, chickens, etc.

When looking at Canada's tax rate it appears Panama is more favorable to low income earners. If you have middle income it appears Canada would be more favourable. Extremely high income earners in Canada would also do better in Panama. So for middle income Canadians, the nice weather would be more of a draw.

Me ha comentado un amigo que está residiendo en Panama, que aunque el obtuvo la residencia a través de la visa para paises amigos, él también tiene acceso a los mismos descuentos que les dan a aquellas personas que han obtenido la visa de pensionado. Tan solo dice mi amigo que hay que tener más de 60 años si eres hombre, y 55 si eres mujer. Es esto correcto? Gracias.
