ZONE 4B HANGING BASKETS AND CONTAINERS
I am growing supertunias in 2 hanging baskets and 4 containers and I am in zone 4b. I hope they will be as good or better than last year. I do this every year and really enjoy watching them grow.

We moved to a different house, so I no longer have the entry way where I hang 5 to 6 baskets all lined up. However, I still planted my supertunia baskets and hung them on a shepherds hook. Enjoy watching.

It 's finally warm enough for me to do my annual containers. I garden at zone 4B which is still cold so I put my containers and hanging baskets in the garage when the temperature goes below 40s. All plants are Proven Winners except for the SPIKES used as center pieces. Enjoy and thanks for watching.

It has been months since I logged in into this e-diary. For today, hangout with me as I water my succulents. Some of my succulents are in pots without drainage and some with drainage. So far I have not killed any succulent yet in any of my pots without drainage.

Here is an update of the supertunia hanging baskets before I take them down. We are going out of town and nobody will take care of them and the teamperature at night have been dropping below 50s anyway. Been a while since I uploaded something, so here it is. ENJOY!

Pothos is my favorite houseplant as it is the easiest one to take care of and so easy to propagate. I usually just trim them and throw away the cuttings as I am not a big fan of very long trailing ones, but then I decided to propagate them instead of buying more houseplants. do you think 2 supertunia are enough for 11" hanging basket or should I add more?
those containers are probably slightly too small for one pak choi but one would work... two is way too crowded in that :)

IS it the Osmocote slow release fertilizer that makes them bloom well?
I think putting a slow release during planting and a weekly feeding make them bloom well. I fertilize them weekly with the Premium water soluble Plant Food from proven winners.

Do you feed when you water as well as the slow release fertilizer in the soil ?
I only used the slow release fertilizer during planting then I used the water soluble after that.
Isn't the plant toxic to pets?

HI there, the plants eventually get bigger. I fertilize mine twice a week and if you look at my latest video, that is how big they are now.

no, it does not hold moisture better as they dry out quickly so they require frequent watering depending on the weather. I just love how the coco-liner looks while the plants are still growing and I do put a plastic liner sometimes. Thanks for watching.

I do not do anything to stabilize it, I have been hanging 4 baskets for years with no problem.

depends on the weather, sometimes every other day or every 2 days, usually I judge it by the weight of the hanging planter
Thank you for the update. I watched in a different video that supertunias are prong to a certain insect disease. But usually with copper spray it should go away and you could have a longer life in the plant. (Until frost!) I just found out about supertunias last fall and I have been researching a lot. I hope to find and grow some supertunias in my garden this year.
Supertunias are my fave, they just require regular watering and fertilizing. I will be missing that entry way where those plants were hanging since we moved.

Is supertunia only for hangging?
Not really! You can use them in the landscape as well.
