Bukaopu

Bukaopu is a Chinese word which literally translates to "not relying on the score". It is often associated with people or things that are not dependable. We have adopted to use this word to sum up the unpredictability and transient nature of reality as something to be embraced. Even though much of it has been written down and kept records of and carefully studied, most of existence is left unexamined and misunderstood when taken too seriously. Bukaopu is our way of flowing with it.
Since the universe is expanding anyway, might as well expand with it... do something new, something weird, something never been done before by not following the rules, going off script, improvise and innovate. Explore, create, be something new, something fun, something bukaopu.

Here's a magic prop I made from an old vacuum cleaner box. Thanks to the talented campers who signed up for my magic camp at Focus Learning, the Kapoop Box Illusion came to live after a couple of days of rehearsals. In this video, the illusion is performed LIVE without any trap doors or camera tricks.
