It has a blown engine so I'm going to replace the short block with another short block from the junkyard
Sounds like it lost it's timing belt. Those engines we're known for that. Outs was really pretty easy aside from getting it to slide into the transmission. Good luck.
I'm doing an engine swap on 2005 Chevy aveo. How do i go about it. So far I removed the fan and radiator. Am I going about it the right way. I really am removing piece by piece
You just have to slowly disconnect everything that is holding it in the car. Radiator hoses, fuel lines, air conditioning, etc. The less you take off the easier it is to put back together. We had a really hard time mating ours back up to the transmission. If you can leave the transmission attached when you pull the engine than do so. Mating the engine up to the transmission in the new car was the toughest part. Hope that helps.
