    Little ponys are put into fields full of mares at breeding farms to bring the mares into heat, then there put to the stallion that way the stallion don't get hurt. There call teaser of course they us smaller guys so they cannot get the mares in foal.

    • @0116Lori
      @0116Lori Před 8 lety

      Ha ha wanna bet. Those mare will find a way to let the ponies get them. That is not what people do to bring mares into heat. That's actually a good way to get a pony hurt unless the horse and pony know each other.

    The 'ribbon' is called a tail bag. It keeps the horses tail nice and clean. As for the mini being in with a bigger horse. I have a mini gelding that stands 31 inches tall. He has been pastured with my larger mares for the better part of almost 4 years. The mini is fine and I don't see an issue with bigger horses with smaller ones as long as they aren't being aggressive. You are not an idiot and its fine, screw what everyone else is saying.

  • @UntamedDesire
    @UntamedDesire Před 8 lety

    did he get hit in the face? I'm glad he is OK.... were you trying to breed them? just curious, I see nothing wrong with what you did and I hate seeing people telling you to take off the halters, they are clearly there in case you need to grab one of the horses.

    • @onepunch5015
      @onepunch5015 Před 8 lety

      +UntamedDesire Exactly! When something like this happens you need to be quick to grab the horse. They were probably just introduced to each other so the owners left the halters on to grab theme easier.

  • @Angelaius
    @Angelaius Před 8 lety

    You are an idiot. Why is an ribbon on the horse tail? wtffff. I hate ponies, they are not horses for me. So... yeah, but I think it was your fault.

    • @onepunch5015
      @onepunch5015 Před 8 lety

      +Lucia Ambrogio the ribbon is so they can swat the flies easier

  • @Zackfair1class
    @Zackfair1class Před 8 lety

    it's your own fault that the pony got kicked. If you didn't put that stupid thing on the other horses tail, then it would never had happend. that thing on its tail makes the horse believe that somethings behind them or somethings got its tail, and when the horse can't se what it is, the horse will panic, that will turn out to be really dangerous to the pony and you.

    • @rathmiron
      @rathmiron Před 8 lety

      +zackfair1class I'm not sure, but I think the big horse is a certain breed of horse known for his long tail. if unwrapped, the tail drags on the ground, so it gets dirty, and the horse could step on it an pull pieces out. so if people show that horse, the tail needs to be long, but kept safe outside of the shows. in that case the horse would be used to it. and if it was really panicked, it would keep running and bucking, and you can see him standing still in the end. so it must have been something else that made the horse kick the pony

    • @Zackfair1class
      @Zackfair1class Před 8 lety

      +hannah dimeglio to me it only sounds like lazy people, if people are to lazy to clean a horse tail then they should differently not have a horse with a long tail. I dont think it okey to bind a tail in like that, just because some people dont want to clean a horse.

    • @0116Lori
      @0116Lori Před 8 lety

      That thing is called a tail bag and I'm sure the horse wears it all of the time so no issue. Little pony was too interested in the big horse and she was telling him to back off. The only problem is he got his face kicked in. That wouldn't have happened with a larger horse. They would have been kicked in the chest or something and it wouldn't have caused damage.

    • @0116Lori
      @0116Lori Před 8 lety

      It's not about cleaning it, it's about preserving it from breakage so the tail grows longer.

    • @imtired3843

  • @KaregoAt

    This is why I don't like seeing horses with a big size difference in the same space. A kick that does nothing to a horse of the same size can easily be fatal to a smaller one.

    • @critterfriend2429
      @critterfriend2429 Před 8 lety

      +KaregoAt Depends on the horses. I have a 16hh TB in with a 9hh Shetland, a 13hh NF and an 11hh welsh with no issues (though no one's shod).

    • @KaregoAt
      @KaregoAt Před 8 lety

      Critter Friend Sure if they're completely friendly and will never ever, even accidentally kick each other, but I still wouldn't take the risk. They don't have to be aggressive toward each other for the bigger horse to be dangerous.

    you are a idiot for leaving the halters on in the pasture the could be playing get there teeth or foot stuck in the strap on hang themselves on the fence and because you did know hot to catch them without one. pathetic

    • @onepunch5015
      @onepunch5015 Před 8 lety

      +Mustang Rebel These horses (as you can clearly see) were just recently introduced to each other. They left the halters on in case if something happen (which it did) they'd be able to catch them faster and prevent anything else from happening.

    • @mustangrebel8051
      @mustangrebel8051 Před 8 lety

      Alyssa Cano I understand but still something much worse could have happened than that ( like if the horse was to accidently hang himself on a tall fence )

    • @onepunch5015
      @onepunch5015 Před 8 lety

      +Mustang Rebel you're right leaving the halter on like that is irresponsible, though from what I can assume (because I don't know what they were doing before or after this recording) is they probably JUST released the horses together. I doubt that within probably ten or so minutes something like that would have happened, especially if they were there the whole time. In the four barns that I've been to people sometimes release their horses in the arena to dry while they're supervising from the bench, then quickly catch them. I don't think it's fair to judge based on this 21 second recording.

    • @mustangrebel8051
      @mustangrebel8051 Před 8 lety
