I listen to another youtuber called mr ballen while im mowing yards (i mow lawns for a living) and i would agree you with you because while he has maazing storytelling ability the su ject matter is often very negative so when i find myself binging him for an hour or two i always have to counter balance it with more funny and lighthearted podcasts thank you for sharing your wisdom to future generations

Can you acknowledge that Capitalism is inherently immoral because forcing people to compete for resources always results in someone losing? It's immoral because we know that there are more than enough resources for everyone. We can, collectively, acknowledge the root of the vast majority of our problems (competitive economics) and decide to do something about it. There is no level of individual self awareness that will change this.

Review of the Resort: A "Memorable" Disappointment Well, well, where do I begin with my stay at this resort? Let's call it an "experience" - one I'm eager to forget. From the moment you step foot into what claims to be a luxurious haven, you're swiftly transported to what feels more like a cattle farm. Ah yes, the ever-charming wristband - your badge of dishonor. So, if you fancy being an easily identifiable mark for every vendor, potential miscreant, and overly enthusiastic local in Playa del Carmen, this place has you covered! Inside the resort? No escape. It's like being in a relentless sales pitch, but here, the ever-enthusiastic resort staff are the hawkers. Want to relax? Think again. They're always on standby to try and upsell you something. Upgrades, excursions, spa treatments, premium dinners - they're always on the hunt, and you're the prey. Ah, the serenity! But where things truly take a dangerous turn? The so-called "security". For an establishment boasting its exclusivity, the behavior of some guests seemed more fitting for a backstreet bar brawl than a high-end retreat. The open bar? It's more like a ticking time bomb, drawing in unruly twenty and thirty-somethings. With their increasingly aggressive antics and sheer disregard for others' safety, you'd think the resort was auditioning for a reality show on brawls. The "security" team? Oh, they were there, but their indifference and inaction were alarmingly evident. It felt less like a retreat and more like a hazardous obstacle course, where every day brought a new set of challenges to one's personal safety. "Smoke-free", they claimed. Yet the reality was an all-pervasive haze of secondhand smoke, and despite countless complaints, the smoky saga continued unhindered. And don't get me started on the so-called all-inclusive deal. Overpriced restaurants and room service that felt more like a drag than a luxury. At 700-800 euros per night, the returns were pitifully inadequate. Mediocre drinks, a "piña colada" more reminiscent of murky puddle water, and dated rooms that screamed of neglect. My first night? A cacophonous symphony thanks to the ancient air conditioner, forcing an urgent room switch. For a resort that parades itself as 5-star, a hesitant three would be a stretch. The raving reviews and promotional videos? One can't help but question their authenticity and how many palms were greased for those glowing endorsements. In short, if you're seeking luxury and relaxation, this resort is a masterclass in how not to deliver either. Steer clear.

THANKS for your insight Kirby! One of my all time favorite phrases is, "None of us is as strong as ALL of us". And you can substitute any number of words for "strong" that would be amplified by the group/team dynamic - smart, creative, adaptable, etc. YOU have taken significant time to read books and then selected the "best of the best". Then you have SHARED your 'synthesized knowledge' as an 'investment' in others, which, in turn, can now be MULTIPLIED by any/all who choose to implement it. There was a day (and I am old enough to remember), when a vast majority of innovative knowledge was 'hoarded' - discoveries were considered 'proprietary' and consequently 'patented' then 'marketed', usually for profit. While many business models still prioritize and thrive on this process, since the advent of the internet, and consequent large scale networking opportunities in general, we have learned that often the faster we SHARE discoveries, the faster OTHERS are able to BUILD upon those discoveries and SHARE, for others to BUILD upon, and create a 'leap frog' type process of near 'exponential' collaborative growth, where the rising tide raises ALL ships. A microcosmic example of this is the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) environment. For YEARS, I have used a FREE (to me) photo editing/manipulation program called GIMP, which is the product of the FOSS model. I have used this tool to create countless projects, making significant impact, all because someone (or a GROUP of people) with the knowledge/skill to create the software CHOSE to SHARE that will the world. All this to say THANK YOU, Kirby, for SHARING the insight you've gained, for your INVESTMENT in our collective growth process - here's hoping we/OTHERS can BUILD upon it and collaboratively continually "RAISE the TIDE" for our ALL collective "ships"

Mark Manson had a great quote about that, he encourages those to not find your passion, but to instead find the struggle you are willing to persevere through. Life will always have struggle, best to find the right one you can wake back up to every day.
