Blind patriotism ALWAYS results in a crash. This song is always relevant. I’ll admit I was blindly patriotic until the recent debacle in Israel. I saw the IDF shelling their own villages, i saw a flood of IDF warcrimes filmed over the past few decades (they’re almost always laughing in the camera as they’re sniping civilian elderly women and children, shit pissed me off) And i saw how our weapons and funding was committing blatant genocide against the Palestinians. And the audacity of the Israeli government and US media to play the victim card after all they subjected the palestinians to melted my mind. No shit they’d fight back, anyone in their position would. America ain’t fought or supported a righteous war since WW2. Ukraine is THE ONLY exception. No war but class war!
