Honestly compared to SSKTJL, this game is a near masterpiece, and it has more Arkham DNA in it than SS itself which WB and Rocksteady claim to be an Arkham game. I feel really ashamed that I've dumped on this game so hard, little did we knew there was worse to come to the public's eye.

Hey brother, your problem with the Merc is the racing transmission. It's a very useful upgrade but you need to adjust it accordingly in the car settings menu which is in the pre race menu. That's the whole point of it as an upgrade, you now have infinitely adjustable gearing, it's preset too far towards the acceleration side (aka short gearing) which is why it tops out before 140mph. You'll go for a more topspeedish setting (aka long gearing) and you'll see 170+mph when slipstreaming the others and win that mf easy peasy. If it still ain't easy, go for the stage 2 turbo
