    Zulu swashbuckler. So there was a knight who had and possessed those knightly and chivalrous and noble virtues I was starting to think from these stories I was hearing about the actual medieval and dark ages that it was just a romanticized myth and that knights were all just elitist pompous imperialist self serving arrogant violent assholes....I'm just saying from all these other documentaries I've seen🗣‼️

    • @JourneyAcrossHistoryOfficial
      @JourneyAcrossHistoryOfficial Před 8 dny

      Thank you for your comment! The Black Prince, or Edward of Woodstock, is indeed a fascinating historical figure who exemplified many of the knightly virtues. While it's true that some knights in medieval times were self-serving and violent, it's important to remember that they were individuals with varied motivations and actions. Historical accounts often emphasize the chivalrous ideals knights aspired to, even if not all lived up to them. The Black Prince was noted for his bravery and strategic prowess, earning respect even from his enemies. However, like all historical figures, he was complex and had his flaws. Understanding history means recognizing both the admirable and less admirable aspects of these figures. I appreciate your thoughtful engagement with the topic!

      @JourneyAcrossHistoryOfficial Před 8 dny

      Thank you for your comment! The Charge of the Light Brigade is indeed a complex event to analyze. While it's often cited as an example of bravery due to the soldiers' willingness to follow orders despite the obvious danger, it also highlights the tragic consequences of miscommunication and blind obedience in military contexts. Wars often perpetuate because of a combination of political, economic, and social factors, as well as the tendency for individuals to follow orders without question. This event reminds us of the importance of critical thinking and effective communication, even in high-stakes situations. It's a poignant reminder of both the courage and the potential pitfalls inherent in military service.

      The geopolitical dynamics of the Crimean War were indeed complex. While territorial ambitions and strategic interests played significant roles, there were also deeper political and religious factors at play. The alliances and conflicts of the time reflect a mix of motivations, including the defense of national interests and shifting alliances. Crushing French victories in Cocherel,Patay and Castillon were overlooked in favor of Agincourt,Crecy and Poitiers.France still emerge as the the victor in the end.

    • @JourneyAcrossHistoryOfficial
      @JourneyAcrossHistoryOfficial Před 24 dny

      You're absolutely right that the battles of Cocherel, Patay, and Castillon were significant French victories that are often overshadowed by the more famous English victories at Agincourt, Crécy, and Poitiers. Each of these battles played a crucial role in the Hundred Years' War and the eventual French victory. Cocherel (1364) was a key victory for Bertrand du Guesclin, which helped solidify Charles V's position in France. Patay (1429) was a major victory for Joan of Arc and the French, turning the tide after the siege of Orléans and leading to the coronation of Charles VII. Castillon (1453) effectively ended the Hundred Years' War with a decisive French victory, resulting in the English losing almost all their possessions in France. While English victories like Agincourt, Crécy, and Poitiers are often highlighted due to their dramatic nature and impact on English morale, it’s important to recognize that the overall trajectory of the war saw France regaining territory and ultimately emerging victorious. The French strategic and tactical adaptations, along with their significant victories, indeed led to their triumph in the end. Thank you for pointing that out!

His nickname, "The Black Prince," is believed to have derived from the blackened armor he sometimes wore or possibly his emblem, which included black elements. The exact origin of the nickname remains a subject of debate among historians.

    All the “success” happens to take place in Northern Africa which was close to Europeans. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

    • @JourneyAcrossHistoryOfficial
      @JourneyAcrossHistoryOfficial Před 29 dny

      The success of Northern African countries compared to others in Africa can vary depending on the criteria used, such as economic performance, political stability, social development, or infrastructure. Economically, some Northern African countries like Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia have relatively diversified economies with significant industrial, agricultural, and tourism sectors. They often show higher GDP per capita compared to many Sub-Saharan African countries. In terms of human development, Northern African countries generally rank higher on the Human Development Index (HDI), which considers factors like life expectancy, education, and income. However, success is multifaceted. Many Sub-Saharan African countries have shown significant economic growth, technological innovation, and improvements in health and education over recent years. For instance, countries like Rwanda, Ghana, and Kenya have made notable strides in technology, governance, and economic reforms. Political stability can also vary within both regions. While some Northern African countries have faced political turmoil and unrest, others have maintained relative stability. Similarly, Sub-Saharan Africa has a mix of stable democracies and countries facing political challenges. In summary, while Northern African countries may show higher performance in certain metrics, many Sub-Saharan African countries are also making substantial progress. It's important to recognize the diversity and unique contexts of each country when assessing their success.

Its exact location is still debated among historians, but it is generally believed to have been situated in the Horn of Africa region, encompassing parts of modern-day Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, and possibly eastern Sudan and northern Ethiopia. The Egyptians valued Punt for its wealth of resources, including gold, aromatic resins, ebony, ivory, and exotic animals.

    True about limestone and at the top they had bronze triangle, which later been found and written by Alexander the Great, not long ago I’ve seen video where Russian professor from university had a calculation where object that size with polished limestone and bronze at the top produce enough natural electricity to ionize the atmosphere which create rain clouds, it confirms by huge water reserves in grounds under the pyramids. They potentially could use this. Because they started to bury pharaohs there much later than the pyramids were built. And also passages in pyramids are too narrow to be passages for people, that push on a hypothesis that these ways just for water. For me it’s the most realistic version I’ve ever heard.

      @JourneyAcrossHistoryOfficial they built smaller pyramids but not the ones in gyza. How can they build that with copper tools. Yet alone transport it from the quarry. How can they cut granite with precision with copper tools. Also, the fact they mentioned it was only built 20-30 years. Any scientific evidence regarding the pyramid is scrap by mainstream science. Also, note that even our modern machines had difficulty lifting a 50ton granite. If you think I believe aliens built the pyramids, u are wrong. What I believed is that it was built by an advanced civilization that was wiped out during the deluge that happened from the last ice age. Any evidence regarding them were considered pseudo science by mainstream science even though enough evidence is out there. This is because ancient lost civilization has free energy. The pyramid is some sort of power reactor. This was researched and replicated by nikola tesla, and look what happened to him and to those who research and invented clean energy

      You‘re right! It’s a little known fact: the pyramids were actually ancient launchpads. The Egyptians were way ahead of their time, just waiting for their Pharaoh Elon Musk to go ahead. 🤣

      Haha, thanks for the laugh! Just remember, if things get that tough, at least we'll have a variety of flavors depending on our sock collection! 😄 But hopefully, we will never need to eat our socks.
